  1. Yes they have updated the general HGSE page and arranged the items in a more user friendly way. However, the LDIT page looks exactly same as when i was applying.
  2. Nice one! You should have taken a picture as well. Good luck to everyone!
  3. I am a little anxious and not losing sleep. Actually I overslept. I think I'm really not expecting the results out today. and it seems most of us are not. Anyway, do take care of yourself and best of luck!
  4. Absolutely no idea! I guess when they say "record number" it means it is significant. These are my consoling thoughts: "If they have record number applications, they will surely give record number admissions".. It consoles me. And if I am rejected this year, I could try again another year or go for other options.
  5. The fact of having a record number of applications this years is confirmed. I got that information from the admissions officers, as well as an alumni who has some in-house connections. So basically, it looks like this year has it's own spice and maybe will follow an unusual trend. We keep waiting and hoping for the best.
  6. Right now I wish I could bomb their zoom session...
  7. I think I will just chill and not check at all till Saturday morning. The tension is actually getting too much. That way, if it was sent out on Friday, I will see it, and if not, I will continue living.
  8. Congratulations! Did you get an email? How did you know?
  9. Actually this makes a lot of sense. So we hope for next Friday....
  10. I sent an email two days ago to the admissions team at HGSE because I wanted to add some documentation to my application. I also asked about the decision and here's what I was told: Thank you for your email. Applications are currently under review and we will send out admissions notifications by the end of March to all applicants. Should you have any further questions, please let us know. I was a bit taken aback by it because I was expecting the decision by next Friday, March 5th.
  11. Congratulations! When did you apply?
  12. So from the information I have gathered (asking around, reading blogs and other research) I understand that the MEd is ideal for those who are practicing Education and hold leadership positions or are looking at handling leaderships roles. On the other hand an MA, or MSc in Education is more academic inclined; ideal for those who want to gain knowledge about education, more from a speculative and theoretical perspective. So in my case I am looking more at Management and Policy (from the tech perspective), so I thought the M.Ed would be more ideal. In all I do not think it is as strait jacketed as I have presented it because life is rich and experience is usually different from academic theories. So one may go for an MA or Msc in Education and still make more impact in Education Management and vice versa. Another driving force for me is that my background is NOT education, I have a BSc. and a BA. So I am sort of adamant about having a degree with Ed. in it somewhere since my chosen career path now is Education. Long story right? Sorry for taking you round in circles.
  13. M.Ed all the way! I am intentional about my goals.
  14. I applied!?Just concluded my application on the 15th. Being an international student, there was a lot I had to do to get my transcript ready for review.
  15. I did. We meet here again. ?
  16. Hi glad to have you here. We are all keeping alive. They are hoping to have in person classes. One of the admissions reps confirmed it during a 1-1 session I attended. However, they are not sure yet. So let's see..
  17. I hope we get to meet for real. I also applied to UPenn and TC Columbia. I noticed you were asking some time about mailing the professors? I guess it is late now. Just wanted to share that I did mail one of the professors I was interested in his research work and he mailed me back. I explained that I was interested in his research work and I asked him to suggest articles and other stuff I could read. Well, fingers crossed till March. I'm really not expecting to be admitted, but I'm glad I applied.
  18. Same here. I did not apply for a concentration because they were not clear to me. Guess what? Your interests are same as mine: Designing equitable experiences in developing countries (using tech).
  19. Thank you so much!
  20. Woow! I made some typos too. Not in my SOP though. I thought I was the only one. I wrote "implementation focus" instead of "implementation focused". Anyway, still keeping hope alive. Did anyone apply to the LDIT program? @foxfire123, do you have information about how many people they typically admit in this program. I am just nervous and hoping that the calendar days can be skipped. I don't find my qualifications and experiences strong enough though. @mjsmith, thanks for the reminder, I appreciate.
  21. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I really wish I saw all this before turning in my application. Well, we can only hope for the best. Best of luck to each one that applied!
