I haven’t heard anything yet, but I noticed last year they started to give out notices around the beginning/mid February!

Hey everyone, just to update about the “unsuccessful” message I had on MyFile. I emailed the school and ended up having to call them and they said that if there is a notice already on MyFile, it means that you didn’t meet the admission requirements. For me they said it was my GPA wasn’t a B+ (which I know it is, and I didn’t have this issue last year). I had them reassess it since I also did courses in the fall to upgrade my GPA since my final semester was pass/fail due to studying abroad. I got an email today saying that after they reassessed it I do meet all requirements, including GPA, and that it was indeed a mistake and I am still being considered for the program. So long story short, if you feel something is off about your application or anything you’ve received, reach out to them!

That’s what mine said last year, I’m kinda hoping it’s a admin error but I guess I’ll find out once they email me back.

I’m kinda confused, my York application status already says “unsuccessful” but there is no other information. Last year I didn’t hear back until April so I can’t tell if this is a mistake or if it was that bad that it’s already unsuccessful lol…has this happened to anyone else?

My UBC 2-year application still says “in progress” when I click on it but I have submitted all my documents that I needed and my references are done. Is this the case for others?

I'm finishing my statement of interest for UBC 2-year program and I am really struggling with the 1000 word limit and so many questions and questions within questions! Does anyone have any tips or advice they'd be willing to share?

Im not sure if this matters, but I applied last year and did not get another email, however my joinid is the same as last year I believe. So maybe if you are not a new applicant you don't get another email? I have no idea

I had the same problem! I had to email them and then they did it for me because no matter what I tried it wouldn’t work. Hope this helps!

Hey! Yes you can. I emailed them because I was confused too on the wording (I agree it’s poor). You can log in after paying and hand in the statement of interest etc. but you can’t change any of the main info about you like your name, last name, school history, etc. Hope this helps!

This might be a dumb question, but if application instructions clearly state that you must “address all questions in an essay format,” do you think I should use headings which would be the questions, or should I not put the questions and just write an essay and ensure that all the questions are answered in that essay. Thanks for any info you can provide!

For those of you applying again to msw programs this year…I have a few questions! How many times have you applied and what are you doing differently this year? Also, is there going to be a new forum or will we just use this one to continue to talk about everything for the September 2022 admissions?

Also received my rejection from Laurier. Looks like I’m not doing an msw this year unless a miracle happens with the uoft waitlist. Congrats to everyone who got in somewhere

Fingers crossed that’s the case! I did see that this process is probably dragged out for about a week (according to previous years) so I feel if that’s the case then it might be random
