Anyone else accepted to UT Health?
InternationalpHD replied to drunkenduck's topic in Public Health Forum
Hi guys! I got accepted into UTHealth Environmental Health - Disease Prevention Track and I have accepted the offer, as it was also the only good offer I received. And logistically, it made a lot more sense to me. I would love to connect with incoming PhD students to the cohort! -

I am so elated. I got into the PhD Program at UTHealth Houston in Environmental Health Dept !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my first real acceptance. And though I am waiting on other schools, looks like this is my most logical choice. Just a little bit clueless on the funding! Could someone share the information if they have any? -

I got rejected from Berkeley. Still waiting to hear back from UCLA (Had a great conversation with the professor I wanted to work with), Drexel, Pittsburgh, BU, NYU, Tulane, PennState I am unsure if I should start prepping for next cycle, or still have some hope. Though I haven't been approached for interviews too. -

I am still waiting to hear. I wasn't interviewed, but also no rejection. So just curious as to what's happening -

@mr444 Thank you so much for the comment and suggestions. I have set up a meeting with their academic supervisor and will definitely ask about funding and reach of the program. I haven't heard back from any of my top choices such as UCLA, Yale, NYU Berkeley, Drexel and Pitt. It has been radio silence. So this has been the only positive reply since December, hence I got excited. -

When I got Emory rejection, I had asked for feedback. It was very generic. I have heard its always nice to know, but with the number of applicants being higher this year. They probably cannot give individual feedback. But I wish we could get one, will help us so much. -

I have a quick question for everyone. I have been accepted into the DrPH program at Claremont Graduate University without an interview, was wondering if anyone had any idea of the program? -

Hello guys, I have been reading all the posts, and its a mixed feeling as I haven't heard back from most schools I applied to. I am an International student, currently pursuing my MPH and graduating this May. I have an MBBS degree(equivalent to MD) from my home country. 1 publication. 3+year PH experience (International and Domestic) Undergrad GPA: 3.0 and Master's: 3.6 I applied to a lot of schools for PhD/DrPH programs Drexel, BU, JHU, Emory, TAMU, UCLA, Berkeley, Yale, NYU, University of Miami, Ohio State, Indiana, Pittsburgh, UPenn, Minnesota, Tulane I have been rejected by Emory and JHU. Its so silent from the rest that it is making me really anxious. Writing here to see what everyone has to say. Also congratulations everyone who has been accepted. -
