  1. This person is a troll of the highest order. Do not feed.
  2. Seriously! That's awful...I'm sorry @Rka
  3. Hi I'm not sure about DrPH programs! For UNC's PhD in HB, it's only one round. For BU's PhD in HSR, it's two.
  4. As someone else said in this thread, I think information is power so I truly hope I'm only being helpful! BEST OF LUCK with your applications!!
  5. Nooooo omg I'm so sorry!! Please know that you are worthy and qualified and not hearing from a program is in NO WAY a reflection of your abilities as a student and public health professional. There is still plenty of time to hear back from other programs, and please know that I'll be thinking about you ❤️
  6. Hey y'all, interview invites for both UNC HB and BU HSR have been sent out ? BU has their second round of interviews on Feb 12th
  7. Ugh I'm sorry. Also waiting for my rejection. Did you see it on your portal or are they sending out emails? Very glad to hear you're looking forward to the future! We're both gonna end up exactly where we should be!
  8. That would be my guess I'm betting on a rejection email tomorrow.
  9. Me too. I don't think I've ever been this nervous...
  10. JHU HPM folks, you hear anything yet? I saw someone got in on the results page.
  11. 10000000%. Thank you for this reminder!
  12. You too friend!
  13. SOPHAS or the JHU portal where we see our application status? Do you know where we might see it on SOPHAS? Thanks for fielding these questions lol
  14. Keeping my expectations low bc I know how competitive it was this year...Good luck everyone!!
  15. I just got a huge rush of adrenaline wow. Did you speak to someone in the admissions office??
  16. I applied to HPP! No word from them yet...
  17. My birthday is Feb 15th ? So I'm either gonna have a really great birthday this year or a disappointing one.
  18. I'm right there with you! Very anxious.
  19. Which track did you apply to? Based on last year's results, people started getting decisions around this week!
  20. I think everything will be remote, at least for the fall! If it's not possible to defer without going through the application review process again, I'll likely stay put to save $$$. Although the thought of not getting to connect with others in my cohort bums me out...
  21. Sure! I applied to Hopkins (MH, interview scheduled), Emory (BSHES), Harvard (PHS), and Yale (SBS).
  22. Definitely, it'll have to be a game time decision based on what the program considers a deferral. Good luck to you!
  23. Everything you said resonates with me! I'm from California but all the programs I applied to are on the east coast. The idea of moving across the country in the middle of a pandemic to a city where I don't know anyone is daunting. I'm guessing many, if not all, classes will be virtual in the fall and opportunities to engage with my peers and advisor(s) will be greatly limited. Also, my parents are both immunocompromised and I'm constantly worried about them getting sick. I would feel much better about moving away once COVID transmission is no longer off the charts. I also love my current job and there are some projects coming down the pike that I would want to be involved with, at least for a bit. But I haven't gotten in anywhere yet, so this may all be moot!
