hi! my s/o heard directly from the faculty member he worked with that they decided not to go with him he heard last Monday but he hasn't received anything more official. And BC has contacted students and accepted students day is next week.

we need our own "anxious bystanders posting/lurking on GradCafe as a stand in for being able to substantively do anything" thread ?

ahaha ok so you understand the bystander anxiety!! hoping for the best I honestly can't imagine only 2-3 spots but then again, I couldn't imagine anything of the last 12 months so...

I don't know how many spots in the div school only that NELC wasn't accepting any applicants so I expect that makes it even *more* competitive. Also same as other schools, limited funding because of COVID etc. Interview requests have gone out. What's your field? And best of luck!!!

Hebrew Bible in the theology department, not the school of ministry/pastoral. Again heard *nothing* until the acceptance so I think its not necessarily a bad thing!!

totally different experience over here -- extensive contact with several professors in the BC department before applying and then not a word (not even an interview) until the formal "change of status" and then they all emailed. It seemed they were not allowed to reach out until the formal acceptance came through. TLDR every school is different!! So always hope!!!

Has anyone heard back from JHU? Not a peep from them...applied to the NELC program and getting worried!

Divinity, I heard that NELC wasn't accepting students this year Again just such a tough year to apply!!

Hi everyone -- long time lurker, first time poster. I am actually not a candidate but rather the fiancee of a candidate too nervous to look at gradcafe so it has become my job! ? Just wanted to add some more info for folks: 1. Interview with Princeton Seminary. As was mentioned, this year is insanely difficult. 3 spots for 5 departments in theology -- oof. 2. Interview scheduled with ND as was confirmed by several people above. 3. Interview scheduled with UChi. Does anyone know if BC definitely does interviews? And Harvard (NELC, not div)? Best of luck to all -- as an invested bystander I am both impressed by your work and grateful to not have to do it ?
