Admitted to Columbia epi. I was told that total number of applicants for the epi program this year was in excess of 300, for ~10 positions. Even more than in a typical year, a lot of tough decisions had to be made.

Email rejection notification from NYU GPH epi this morning.

Received an acceptance offer yesterday (2/2) from Temple Epi PhD. Still awaiting decisions from Columbia Mailman (Epi PhD). I was told by someone at Mailman admissions that there has been an increase of ~60% over last year's applications to the Epi program.
