    They just sent an email saying they have awarded all funds. Loved the false hope from admissions but glad I put in my deposit for Penn in time. Good luck to you all! hope yall fared better

    this is what I received today, I guess it may be longer than this week. “Award decisions regarding scholarships are still pending, but we will notify all applicants considered, however, when scholarships have been exhausted. I'm sorry that we do not have a more definitive timeline and appreciate your patience.”

    has anyone heard anything within the last 2 days? I have a deposit deadline tm and admissions said everyone would hear back at the latest early this week

    Im feeling the same way. I don’t know if I will have time to appeal if the offer is not enough w other deadlines approaching. Cross country moving is soo expensive. Hoping aid will be generous for out of staters!

    I still haven’t, not sure why such a delay?? I am also feeling very nervous about it.

    Just a little fyi for everyone still waiting for aid info! this is what someone at admissions sent today: “The School of Social Work intends to send out notices of departmental awards by the end of March. We also send out a blast email to all applicants letting them know that all aid has been awarded so that they have some closure if they did not receive any departmental funding.”

    I feel you, it’s all been so drawn out ;( I spoke to someone at admissions and she said award amounts are typically on average around 6,000 and a third of incoming students receive them. Hoping it’s a little higher since I’ll be moving cross country. here’s to hoping for some news this week!

    I interviewed early Dec and heard back exactly two weeks later. I’ve heard of people hearing back within as soon as a few days so it may be much sooner. Good luck!!

    Hey everyone! I’m also from the general MSW thread. Still anxiously waiting to hear back from UW day program and honestly thought decisions would have been out by now. Ive already extended other decision deadlines so fingers crossed we all get some news this friday!

    Hi everyone! has anyone heard anything from UW or UC Berkeley? I have been trying to contact Cal admissions for over two weeks with no luck, not sure if this is a bad sign or not.

    Yeah I was just about to ask if you got the official letter yet lol. I’d wait until you see the scholarship before you completely rule it out! They were more generous than any other school I got into thus far. Penn is the most expensive school I applied for though. Really wish we’d have the full package sooner to help in the decision making process

    hey! congrats to you as well! I never received a financial aid package only a scholarship with my acceptance. The finaid office said applicants don’t get a full loan and work-study package until after they accept their offer of admission sometime in the summer. I’m not sure why they do this?? but it is frustrating to wait that long?

    Hey! I contacted about the appeal process and it includes a 5 pg paper that details need and merit and the office also said that the reevaluation of funds is not guaranteed to happen before the March 15th decision deadline. I got a decent scholarship from Penn and I don’t think, just from talking to them, that they would be willing to match offers that are significantly higher. hope this helps!

    Yeah, I saw on last years forum that people were hearing back as soon as Feb 14th but maybe since they extended the deadline it’ll be later this year. Still hoping it is at least before late March though!
