Hi Amanda! I am actually deciding between those two schools myself and having such a hard time with my decision. Personally, I am interested in pursuing a PhD down the road which is making me lean towards Penn as well as just trying living out of state for a few years (im from CA) and like Penn's program enough. Although when speaking to Penn, they shared that MSW students don't typically work on research with professors because that is saved for PhD and doctoral students. But USC is a great program from what I have heard from the people I have spoken with. And has great connections in Los Angeles, and probably elsewhere too.

Is anyone who applied by the Dec. 1st deadline still waiting to hear back from UChicago? I am still waiting and thinking it means I either got waitlisted or rejected. I applied on September 26, 2020.

Congratulations, that's wonderful!! I applied on 9/26 and am still waiting. Getting concerned that it is bad news. im wondering when they will send the rest out

I am waiting so anxiously for UChicago to send out their admission decisions like so many of you I am sure. Has anyone reached out to them this week? I did so last week and was told the same answer as another person - that they anticipate sending decisions out within the next week.
