  1. Hi! I'm in the Cog Sci in Education PHD program at Columbia Teachers College this fall. Nice to meet you!
  2. I'm in the Cog Sci in Education program and they said financial aid details are coming out this week (for my program at least). Hope it helps!
  3. I spoke with my advisor who mentioned that due to COVID, budgets are tight and the chances of full funding is slim to none. However, there may be some tuition reduction and loans for now. I plan to go part-time while I teach so I won't have loans, if I go that route. Not sure about how it works in a given year but in our new normal this is reality. Hope it helps!
  4. I'm in that position as well! I'm not sure what it means for my particular school but it makes me anxious. I am waitlisted at a fully funded program, and accepted at the one that hasn't announced funding yet. There is a financial aid webinar but it isn't until the end of this month. Anxiously hoping for good news from either school!
  5. Hey all, So, I am an absolute addict when it comes to fancy day planners. I've been a teacher for the past 5 years and swear by the Erin Condren Teacher Planners, but now that I am transitioning into a PhD program, I think I might need something different. What are your favorite brands?
  6. Nice! My funding package is pending, but I will get back to you once I know more! I've heard Columbia gives a lower package than others, so I'm a little anxious about it. Scheduled a chat with the financial aid office for next week so I can figure out what to expect.
  7. Hi and congratulations! I was just accepted into the Cog Sci PHD program! I'm not sure about the answer to the question of transitioning from one to the other, but I'm excited to meet others in the same concentration! Everyone that I know that has gone to TC has had a very positive experience, and there are a lot of networking opportunities with faculty and other programs in the city. Have you heard anything about funding?
  8. Hi acurtiss, I'm not sure about this particular program, but I applied to the Teachers College Cognitive Science in Education PhD program and reached out to the admissions office. They said admissions decisions would come out between March 1-15th. No mention of interviews. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
  9. Has anyone heard from this program?
  10. Hi all, Has anyone heard back from this PhD program?
  11. Hi all, I applied as well for the Fall 2021 admissions. My concentration is Science and Environmental Education. I just got an email yesterday (2/12) requesting an interview for this week! Just a heads up, my email went to the "promotions" folder in my Gmail box. Definitely check if you haven't heard already.
