  1. ...in at USC finally to finish off the cycle! I wish I had got funding from USC/UCLA. is there any chance that the schools will give a fresh funding(not increasing $$) based on what we got at other places?
  2. When I wrote back they said we did not get any if it’s not mentioned in the email already , so I lost hopes on it
  3. I have been writing to them for application status - - they said will take up to early May for notification. Looks like USC has waitlisted all by not sending rejects? Only admitted students seemed to have heard back. They are one of the few schools who are still accepting applications...
  4. It looked like a Mail Merge, so could be at once for batches of people
  5. I am just worried that if it's not mentioned now, we may not be getting it
  6. @People who got into UCLA, do you have anything mentioned about the funding in the email? I don't have anything and I am slightly worried as this is my first choice
  7. Thank you! This had a Dec 15 deadline right? I got in! But no funding. Maybe you are talking about the MPS program because I did not have any video interview.
  8. Hi, I got into a Masters program as an International student. They are giving me RA-ship and with 19Hr limit in CA(near LA), I hope it will cover a majority of my expenses. My question is, whether the 15$/hr salary is too low and if I can find alternative jobs in the Irvine area near LA? Would that be advisable?
  9. I also got wait listed in MA Public Policy with Certificate in Research Methods (MACRM). Slightly disappointed as I was looking forward to it as a first choice. Any information on the WL and the webinar access is Also, does anyone know if this post from 2018 is any relevant today? https://harris.uchicago.edu/admissions/blog/waitlist-information-and-faq
  10. I got a Wait List at MA in Public Policy with Certificate in Research Methods(MACRM) at UChicago Harris. Some one please throw some light on how WL works at Harris and if I have any reasonable chance to get in?
  11. When I had written to them later this week, they said that their committee(s) have been releasing offers and if we have not heard back yet it doesn't mean that we are rejected. They were vague on timeline, and send may take till early May! I hope they really did mean it! Pretty anxious here for USC and UCLA..
  12. Yes, I wrote to the admissions email and they replied this! I am also quite unsure.
  13. Yes I did by the Dec 15 deadline, they said its in the hands of the committee and there is no particular order or a fixed date before May that we will know.
  14. USC is saying that they can take up to early May for decisions, this is so painful!
  15. Its slightly re-assuring there are more waiting very anxiously to hear from USC and UCLA. I had written to both of them last week; USC kind of said it's in the hands of the committee and they are also waiting like us; UCLA said it will be out in timely manner. So yes, I also believe USC is yet to release anything officially or all the faculty review teams have decided. All we can is hope for the best now!
  16. Yeah, I agree with you. I am also trying my luck with scholarships and no/low-interest loans! On another note, can anyone suggest if I can apply to some other good programs(top ones) that are still taking in? I am thinking to send my application to UCI and not sure if they will fund(they were vague in emails). Any thoughts?
  17. @yellowsurfCan you please let know about funding details? I also got the admit letter which has no mention of funding
  18. Rejected from Harvard. Accepted into UNC without funding, slightly disappointed as my chances depend heavily on funding as someone coming from a developing country.
  19. I am waiting to hear from the Cornell Dyson Applied Economics MS Program, is there anyone else who has heard from the program?
  20. This boosts my anxiety to unbearable levels ? Fingers crossed!
  21. I would like to know some perspectives for a student direct from Undergraduate in a developing country to go on a full debt. Is it advisable? How can the employment post or during the program impact? I have offers at Cornell and UIUC as of now without any funding. Cost might be something like $60K per year!
  22. Is it common that Professors send out personal emails welcoming students (and to attend classes?). I got these from Illinois, felt too weird, they did not offer any funding or assistant-ship either and said they cannot review when I asked them again.
