Congratulations to everyone that is hearing positive news! I am truly so happy for you! Would anyone like to chime in with their opinion on VCU? Positive or negative!

I feel like it was talked about awhile ago but I can't find it now. How do you find out how many people apply to a program if they don't disclose it on their program page? I only applied to hyper-competitive programs this year and that worked out just terribly so I'm trying to do some better research.

As my rejections for my first application cycle roll in, I'm starting to prep for next year. I'd love to hear opinions from fiction applications, especially anyone with an acceptance this year: is it better to apply with a collection of short fiction or an excerpt from a novel?

Hi guys! Long time thread stalker, first time poster. I just applied for my first time and starting to realize how unlikely it is I'll get in so I wanted to join in the misery hahaha. I applied to a few but U of Michigan is no doubt the most important one to me. Based on when they've notified in the past, it should be next week. Anyway just saying hi and looking forward to advice on how to apply better next year once I'm done crying about this cycle. BUT love the community of fellow wannabe writers nerding out about writer things :)
