  1. Has anyone received an acceptance letter in the mail from UofT?
  2. I got accepted to UofT and waitlisted and Western! I just accepted UofT!!! My stats were: sub gpa of 3.88, volunteered at an aphasia centre and private speech clinic (200+ hours), currently doing a honours thesis and have done some RA work. I'm also enrolled in a teaching English as Secondary Language Program at my uni where I got experience teaching English in elementary schools and in adult literacy classes! Please feel free to message me if you want anymore information or just if you want to chat! Congrats to everyone that got an acceptance! For those that didn't, keep your head up and don't give up!!
  3. lol @coco_SLP I was thinking the same thing about the program and major. I think we may have gone to the same uni as well!! Congrats on getting into all 3 schools @Livslp2021
  4. Guys! Can you please help me disprove my theory that if you get accepted to Ontario schools (UofT, McMaster and Western) you hear back at midnight. But if you get rejected or waitlisted you hear during the day. Does anyone know someone who got the acceptance during the day of April 1st and not at midnight?
  5. yeah its definitely going to be in the time zone that the schools are based it. so yes EST! Good luck! 1 week to go everyone!!
  6. Yes seems like it's only the acceptances. I don't get why they cant just tell everyone at the same time. But who knows how it actually works.
  7. Interesting! I heard some people heard from UofT and Mac at 12 am! So I think its different for everyone.
  8. What do you mean by right away? Like did you get an email right at 12 am April 1st.
  9. I hope everyones MMI's went well! Now we wait....until April 1st. Feels like a year away. Goodluck to everyone!
  10. What schools are you waiting for? I know its soo hard waiting!! I only applied to schools that get back to me on April 1st (Western, UofT and McMaster).
  11. I agree with you. I started volunteering in second year and have still continued to volunteer during the pandemic. All-together, I have upwards of 200 hours. but get how it could be hard for some people who haven't gotten many hours yet.
  12. Yes, I submitted just for Western. UofT was not accepting a clinical reference. Also, I would love to get you opinions on this: Do you think schools will till take into account the amount of volunteer experience in making their admission decisions? Or do you think they truly don't care if we have any?
  13. Im sorry that happened to you. Im surprised they didn't consider you and then if you got in just make you take the course again before the program begins. Hopefully the other schools will look past it. Also it might differ by how much the school value the stats pre-requisite.
  14. Has anyone heard of either Western, UofT or McMaster accepting students before April 1st?
  15. Do you guys remember what the website said the GPA cut off was last year? They had it on their website before but I cant find it anymore. Also maybe they look at the perquisite grades too? Im not sure, just thinking.
