Hi everyone! I also got the news today that I've been awarded the (Master's) scholarship ?  Thank you all for having been here along the way, it was really an honor and a pleasure!
I remember finding this forum when there were already 30 pages or something and at first I didn't join, but then I just wanted to join in on the "fun" and the conversation and that was absolutely the right decision! I'm happy for those who also got the scholarship, and my thoughts are with those who got a rejection after this horrible waiting period.. I hope our roads cross nonetheless and that we can meet up someway in Germany somehow! So much respect for all of you ❤️
P.S.: I'll probably still be checking this forum ?

I received my acceptance letter, finally it's over! Don't give up guys, it can still come. For the ones who did not make it this year, try another time! Fingers crossed for the rest of you!

Just wanted to tell you that I finally got an answer! Just got the rejection email...
80 applicants for 8 scholarships! Damn!! This is in Portugal, for the MA of all disciplines!
The best of luck to all of you, you've made the wait much easier and I hope you all get the scholarships of your dreams!!

I even dreamt today that I was telling my family that I got accepted. Let's see if this turns out to be true. Haha. 

Status changed to "selection made" for me !! HALLELUJA

Wow!! It really seems like blank = funding.. Congrats!! ? I think now to make it official they just need to send you the award letter, but you can go ahead and party a bit!

Guys, I received another message from the same woman who answered me that there were no interviews: she thought I applied for a Research programme ?. She said quite clearly that there is no chance at all to get the scholarship without an interview... now I can wait quietly for my rejection letter ? good luck to everyone!

For those who need a translation:
 
There were no personal selection meetings in March
The selection committee assessed your application on the basis of the documents submitted and additional reports
So it was a pure paper selection with no personal preference
I cannot tell you anything about the results until the process is officially completed
 
WAAAAAAA maybe there is still hope!!! I am keeping all my finger crossed and I really hope that is true! That would be a truly amazing plot twist ahahahah
Hopefully we won't have to wait two weeks
 

Called the Brussels office yesterday for news about the results and they said they'd ask in Bonn. Today I got an email from someone in Bonn that basically said the same thing as the message in the portal from 5 weeks ago:
Delays due to covid. The results "sind eingegangen" (were received) and are being processed right now. "Sie erhalten in Kürze Nachricht." = You'll be notified *soon*. Is that better or worse than "this week or the next"? ? I'm not quite sure 
They put Wolfgang Gairing in CC though! He's the head of the Western, Central and Southern Europe programs. So they got my e-mail and they for sure know we're an anxious bunch right now Let's keep up the pressure!

I am also from Italy and I applied for the MSc all disciplines scholarship. I received the invitation email for interview on 1st of April and did the interview on 29th of April. I also know other 2 guys that applied for the same scholarship and did the Interview in the same days. 
Unfortunately, I believe that passing through the pre-selection (and the interview) is a requirement to get the scholarship for Italian candidates. The interview was only 15 minutes so probably they did a huge selection before and interviewing was just a kind of confirm to get the scholarship (also because in 15 minutes you cannot tell a lot about yourself). But I still hope for you that maybe the interview was not required for everyone, even though the regulations clearly state it. 
Let's wait for results and see...

That is what I was thinking as well. It makes sense in my opinion, after all if you can apply for a PhD scolarship it means that you have already gone through a selection process (in this case by the PhD supervisor). They probably focus their already short time on selecting the masters students.
So, I will stay positive. Of course, it would be better to have the results now, though.

Good morning everyone! So today I was panicking because I have seen in here that many people had an interview, but I didn't. I contacted the regional daad office in Rome and they said that there will be no interviews for PhD short term grants... which made me feel *slightly* better. I assume the interviews were only held for Masters scholarships and some specific PhD programs?
