  1. This is a disaster it's 3am where I am 😅 To sleep or not to sleep, that is the question
  2. It won't let me reupload for some reason, but here's what I said: Hi Suzanne, Thank you! I know that the NSERC results have begun to go out yesterday and today. Are our results being released at the same time, or is SSHRC on a different schedule? By end of the week, do you mean Friday or Sunday? Thanks, And here was the reply: Hi, SSHRC is on a different schedule. You will probably get an email tomorrow or Friday on how to see your results. Sincerely,
  3. No yeah, this was an inquiry. My help desk phone person sent me to a help desk email, who then forwarded me to this person.
  4. Okay... I finally received something a bit more tangible.
  5. I just received an almost identical email, but they said that we'd receive an email with more details by the end of the week... so I guess that's something?
  6. No, same thing happens to me and then they tell me to send an email instead. Has anyone emailed? Could be worth a shot.
  7. Interesting, mine just says "unable to find an account with the email address provided." What do you get @PsychedelicRaccoon?
  8. For those who are new applicants, is it still saying that there's no email associated with your password when you say "forgot my password" on the extranet login page? Just want to make sure that's a common experience lol
  9. Lollll amazing! Good luck, I hope they do!
  10. So I also just got off a call after waiting for about the same amount of time, and I got completely contradicting information. The person I spoke to also seemed a bit confused—and he said that he couldn't find me at all in the system (way to initiate even more panic lol). He said that both NSERC and SSHRC results were being released at the same time and that they were doing their best to get the extranet back to being functional. So... not sure what we make of any of that tbh, especially in light of your call @Kikiriki. Could some other brave soul try? I got through by calling the technical support number and then not pressing 1 or 2 when they asked about technical help vs FDSR but just waiting for my call to be taken through to an agent.
  11. Thanks for trying! Did you call the number for the help desk, or the one for general inquiries? Maybe there would be a difference?
  12. Well now the NSERC folks are getting results so I don't know what to think!
  13. Thank you so much @waitingsucks for coming back on to share an update even though the outcome wasn't what you were hoping for. I hope you can finally decompress tonight and treat yourself for getting through such a disgusting process!
  14. I guess it's safe to assume they're not coming out tonight now.... why do I get the feeling I have SSHRC nightmares to look forward to tonight 😅
  15. CIHR applicants are still getting their results today for sure!
  16. I think CIHR is late this year (usually it's more like mid-April) and there's usually a bit of time between CIHR and NSERC results, but the NSERC applicants are slowly getting their results starting today too. So it makes me hopeful that maybe we won't have to wait the full week at least... that would be torturous.
  17. This is awesome! Are you looking only at teachers who self-identify as activists already? It made me wonder if activism is a tough buy-in for teachers who are already so overworked and underappreciated within education systems.
  18. Thanks for taking the time to elaborate! :)) I'm always baffled and impressed by the sheer diversity that gets covered under the SSHRC umbrella. In general I think that considering the philosophical and ethical context of AI is such a compelling avenue that we're only just starting to properly explore. Your project sounds really interesting!
  19. Fascinating! So just to make sure I understand, your question is around programming AI to better respond to human vulnerability?
  20. This is what I was thinking! This is such a valuable area to be contributing to, thanks for humouring me and sharing a bit more about it!
  21. I find it really interesting that you're focusing on adolescents in particular! I'm no expert in this area so please take everything I say with a grain of salt lol, but my impression has been that research on young refugee and asylum seekers tends to focus on children. But it seems logical that some of the difficulties and challenges with acclimatization would actually be tougher for teens than for kids. So cool, thank you for sharing!
  22. Okay cool, that makes sense! That's such a cool combination of degrees!
  23. So does yours, and same to you! I really don't envy the committees, everyone is doing such great work.
  24. This sounds incredibly interesting! (Please feel free to ignore my followup question if you don't feel like answering lol) Are you in sociology?
