It didn’t say anything about if you’re unavailable during the orientation. I suppose you could wait for the email that should be coming these few days to set us up for Canvas, or maybe just email the school to ask.

I think that’s still to be decided. It is required that we “be present during the full week of orientation” though. *Edit: They sent a new email just now regarding next steps. Check your mailbox!

FINALLY got my acceptance today! Do any of you know where to accept an offer, as I can’t seem to find where to respond in Wolverine Access lolll Or perhaps it takes a few days for my status to be updated into the system?

The first two waves this year were 3/18 and 4/2 and that’s about two weeks apart. Last week was one week apart from 4/2 so yeah nothing (other than scholarship info). I’m not saying that they’re definitely sending decisions out every two weeks, it’s just an assumption based on last year’s trend (which I saw from the records of another application-related forum, not GradCafe) (strictly speaking they didn’t exactly send decisions out every two weeks but there was a general trend, like 4/14, 4/30, 5/14 etc). I know nothing tho. This is just me wishfully thinking that they’ll send something today (sigh).

Could be part of the reason. But I guess it’s also true that the pandemic is slowing down their review process this year, seeing that they didn’t say so last year. They sent out decisions every fortnight till June last year tho (and they’ve been sending out decisions till June for several years now), wonder if it’ll be the same this year...... I seriously can’t imagine the amount of suffering if we’ll have to wait till June. I asked another school to extend my decision deadline till the end of April...... hope I’ll be able to hear from UM before that.

Yep I did. I sent two emails inquiring about my application status before tho, so I’m not sure whether that’s their reply to me or just a generic announcement to everyone.

They have always released some results mid-April in the past few years so hopefully we’ll at least get some kind of update from them this week.

I recall someone receiving a reply from them at the beginning of April saying that they may need another 14 business days to process the applications. So maybe anytime from now to the third week of April if they do stick to the timeline they provide (I won’t have my hopes up judging from past years’ experiences). They could at least reply to the email I sent last Saturday. (sigh)

I’m pretty sure there are still vacancies (some of those accepted won’t be going anyways), but it’s really torturing to have to just wait without knowing much about the situation...... Wish they gave us a clearer timeline. I’ve noticed most accepted applicants are Americans or those who did their undergrad in the US tho (judging from reports on Gradcafe and other non-English websites). Did any international applicant (without a US citizenship and studied outside of the US) get accepted? Or are they accepting fewer international students this year?

Hi. Congratulations and mind if I ask what your application complete date currently looks like now (gone? changed to the acceptance date? or the same?)? Judging from the past years there’ll be more admissions coming, but I’m not sure whether they are still reviewing applications, or that they’ve finished reviewing and have already sent out all the main decisions. The later admissions seen in the past years may have been turned from waitlisted into admitted. I’ve kinda lost hope now......
