  1. I got an email to check web advisor and the offer letter was posted there.
  2. I received it yesterday, have until April 21st to respond.
  3. Has anyone tried calling UofT Epi to check for admission updates?
  4. I'm so sorry, don't give up hope, if there's other programs you're waiting we're still fairly early in their admission timeline so you still have a very good chance of getting into those programs
  5. Has anyone else had any new updates from UofT Epi? Getting more and more anxious by the day.
  6. I haven't heard anything as well.
  7. Thank you so much for your honest response. Having went to Guelph myself I can agree that the staff and faculty are very supportive but since my program was course based I was skeptical about securing a good practicum since it plays a key role in finding a position in after completing the MPH program. Seeing mixed responses on other forums of whether or not it is better to pursue a specific mph program like Epi if that’s the field you aim to work in I was definitely confused, so thanks so much for the response, definitely provides a different perspective.
  8. Hey that’s great! How have you liked the courses so far? Do you feel like there’s a good focus on epi? And with practicums do you get a lot of guidance to secure a position especially if you were to aim to find something in Toronto? Thanks in advance
  9. Does anyone know, how many students would be placed on a waitlist for these MPH programs?
  10. No not yet :(
  11. Has anyone received their official offer from Guelph?
  12. For those who are particularly interested in the MPH - Epi stream, in your opinion, do you think chances of finding a career within the field of epidemiology is higher when you complete a program that specifically specializes in that field like UofT (MPH - Epidemiology) for instance or would the MPH programs at Guelph or McMaster give you equal an equal chance as well, since they give you the opportunity to take a good amount of courses in Epi as well.
  13. Congrats on getting the unofficial offer! I haven't received my official letter yet. Did you respond to the unofficial offer you received?
  14. Those who have received an acceptance from UofT Epi, do you know when you would have to accept the offer by?
  15. Hey I just completed my MSc this past year (4.0 gpa) and gained research experience through my MSc project, still have a publication pending. The first two years of my BSc weren’t that strong but made up for it in the last two years (gpa for these two years would be around 11.0/12.0). I only took one stats course during my BSc, grade A-. I have about 2 years of research experience at a hospital and worked/volunteered at a couple of different non-profits. Other than that I don’t have much public health experience, I’m not sure how competitive my application would be compared to some of the stats I’ve been seeing so far. Hope this helps.
  16. I’m still waiting to hear from UofT epi as well. But based on last years posts we may have to wait as long as June.
  17. Congrats to everyone who has received an offer so far! ?
