  1. Hey guys, I am a 4th year dual degree student (B.Tech+M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay, India (rank 1 in India according to QS). I am planning to apply for MS or PhD programs for fall 2022 in Mechanical Engineering (thinking about Energy Systems as well). The following are the universities that I plan on applying to - Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, Purdue, EPFL, ETH, TU Delft, University of Toronto An overview of my profile: CGPA : 9.15/10 (~top 15% in my class) TOEFL : 113/120 2 Research projects under profs in my department Research intern in Canada (upcoming summer) 1 Publication in an international journal (submitted) 2 Internships - one industrial and one at a startup Dual Degree Project (ongoing) My B.Tech degree will be with honours as I did some extra courses Taking GRE soon (expecting around 330) Recommendation letters - one from Dual Degree Project guide, one from research intern guide, one from a senior prof in my department who knows me well ( I did 3 courses under him and got the highest grade in each) Can anyone tell me if my university choices are overly ambitious (worried about my CGPA)? Should I add more safety schools? I would prefer to join a PhD program directly but would be okay with an MS as well. Will my M.Tech be a disadvantage for the MS programs? My main targets are ETH and EPFL. Thanks in advance! Any advice would be really helpful.
