  1. Can anyone tell me what MSW programs have spring start dates? ?
  2. MyFile says that my application is still under consideration. I don't know what to make of that, since it's now June and it seems that many people have already heard back! I was offered admission to Laurier's MSW program and have accepted, so rest assured if by some miracle I am accepted at York I will be deferring. ? I hope that everyone who is waiting hears back soon!
  3. It sounds like you've been through a lot. It takes energy and effort to share this, so thanks for taking the time. Although it may not be what you want to hear, it sounds like your instructors have your best interests at heart, even if you don't agree with the decision. I can see they mention recommendations for you to continue to take care of yourself. So, I would do just that! You are still on your educational journey (MSW is no joke!), so ensure you are taking the proper steps to safeguard your wellness. Confirm your hobbies and interests, and ensure you make time to do what makes you happy. There's a reason why the windshield is big and the rear-view is small... look forward, not back, and learn from your past experiences to become a better person. As an aside, I wanted to mention that you list your first and last name in your response. You may want to edit this to protect your privacy. All the best!
  4. It takes courage to look at your past actions and see ways that you can improve, learn, and grow. I truly wish you the best in the future. Keep making strides to care for yourself and know that you are capable of great things.
  5. Any more movement from York for the 2-year MSW? I have some friends waiting to hear back. Do we think calls will continue into next week?
  6. This is from Laurier's website, hope the formatting comes through. Looks like May for decisions for PT stream, although it says 2022. ? Part-time MSW Program Application Timeline Entry Term Application Opens OUAC Application Closes for Step 1 Supplemental Documentation Due as per Step 2 Target for Decisions on Application1 Fall (starting Fall 2022) Mid-October December 1 December 15 May Winter March 1 April 15 May 1 September Spring June 1 July 15 August 1 January
  7. Thank you for posting! I requested to be added to the group. I don't have a Facebook but made an account so I could join. ?
  8. CONGRATS! I am rooting for you to get in. I have a few friends who are also on the Laurier wait list but who may take other offers. ??
  9. Oh, interesting. It just said, "No Decision Yet". I am probably reading too much into it!
  10. You're right, I can see the offer letter if I click on the program name. Thank you! For York, my status has changed to, "No Decision Yet - Currently Under Consideration" this morning. Anyone else? Hoping I will hear back sooner than they anticipated in their email.
  11. I can't wait! ?
  12. THANK YOU! I am thrilled (and also I feel like I might faint). ?
  13. Just received my acceptance to Laurier's MSW program. Last name S. I am waiting on York but I know it will be awhile. Laurier is my top choice! Edit: My Loris has not changed.
  14. Still waiting on York as well! Also Laurier... ? Does anyone know if the Loris portal will change in some way to let us know our application has been reviewed? I don't see anything that says "submitted" or "decision pending" like York. I know it's been submitted though because I can see all my actions and I have a receipt email.
  15. Hi there! I just wanted to reach out to say I read your post and am sorry to hear you're going through this! Did you have the meeting? If you feel comfortable, feel free to share. It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong, and hopefully the school just wants to check in with you to see how you're doing. Fainting on camera might have caused some folks to worry about you. I wish you all the best with your health. I know from my own experience in my undergrad that my instructors and the rest of the faculty truly wanted success for me, and they went out of their way to check in to see if I needed extra support, etc. Sometimes I worried about those meetings, but in the end I recognized that they had my best interests at heart. I'm rooting for you!
