I'm so sorry to hear this. You have been such a kind and encouraging presence on the forum, and I wish you all the best in your public health journey, including if you decide to apply again next cycle!

Thanks, beauties! I'll be applying again next cycle. Lick the wounds, cry the tears, figure out what needs changing, keep the dream alive. If anyone has any wisdom on acceptance into programs they care to share, I'm here for it.

Rejected from Tulane. Which I'm ok with the tuition did not seem worth it.

I'm glad you have other options, BZG! Makes these losses easy to cut. Thanks for the generosity of your update.

I just heard back from Tulane: rejected, unfortunately. Extremely generic statement. Wishing the rest of you better news! One down, one to go.

I'm sorry, ARPH! I hope the next news is the news you need. Good luck and thank you for posting.

Just an FYI..Tulane admissions has confirmed that they are doing a batch system this year for DrPH decisions - so everything is not coming out at once. Hope this helps.

Thank you for doing that legwork. I appreciate you, mandycandy. Very, very best of luck to all.

Re: Tulane DrPH — I was accepted today via email at 4:12 p.m. ET to check the Application Status Portal. I don't know if all decisions went out today (I haven't checked the results page), but when I was waitlisted last year, I remember the email came on a Friday (March 10, 2023).

Congratulations!!!!!! That's very exciting especially to have the tenacity to apply again and go from waitlisted to accepted. Awesome!

I didn't know there was a portal. Did the email come with a link?

I just wanted to pop in here and say that when I was using Gradcafe back in 2012 for my master’s applications, I never saw so many kind and supportive individuals in one place. Best of luck to you all - you’re all amazing public health professionals! I hope the world continues to benefit from the work you all do.

I feel the same way. Thank you, PublicHealthSLP. It's a beautiful group of humans. And I appreciate the generosity and kindness especially in sharing results and experiences and tips and tricks. Much love and peace to ya'll.

  8. Thank you for your application to the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After careful consideration of your application and supporting credentials, the Admissions Committee regrets to inform you that it is unable to offer you admission to our program for Summer (June) 2024. Each year we receive far more applications than we can accept for a limited number of slots. We appreciate your interest in the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and we wish you success in your future endeavors.

Was also prepared. Did my grief processing mostly yesterday. Many happy returns to those of you who got in! I'm delighted for you, truly.

Re: patterns with JHU results, it seems to me that acceptances are being released in batches by concentration/track. The first few acceptances posted this morning were for Environmental, then a bit later someone posted an acceptance for Global Health, then the most recent acceptances were for Health Policy & Management. I imagine we might hear from some folks about acceptances for Implementation Science and Women's and Repro Health before the end of the day.

For those of us who are still "under review" for those concentrations/tracks that have already released some acceptances, I think it's likely bad news. I'm personally planning to stock up on my favorite sweet treats in preparation for a rejection notice tomorrow. I'll allow myself to be disappointed for a day or two. But there is always another cycle next year if some of us choose to apply again!

Another heartfelt congratulations to those who were accepted today! You should all be very proud!

I agree with you re: bad news. I'm just surprised, I guess. I thought I was a really good fit both in my experience and my career vision. Alas. I wonder if it's possible to know what would make a stronger candidate.

Hi I received an acceptance to this track about 40 mins ago. Best of luck to you for also receiving an acceptance. I saw some folks asking about interviews - I never interviewed.

Oh man. Now I'm super anxious. Mine says "still under review," too.

Has anyone received a decision update from the Hopkins DrPH Health Equity and Social Justice concentration yet?

NOT YET! (My caps lock was on accidentally, but I kept it because it felt right.)

Good luck, comrades! Spa it up. I did that Friday.

As sad as it is I'm glad I'm not going through the wait/torture alone. I took Friday off cuz I know I'd be a mess, but it's not like I'm about to take off this whole week!

    Under Review.

Hey! Has anyone reached out to Hopkins to ask about decisions dates? I just went off of previous years with the March 1st, but I realized I never checked in with anyone in admissions. So I was wondering if ya'll had done so.

I'm sorry about the rejection. Hoping you get accepted for the other programs. I was accepted but want to confirm something from anyone else who was accepted.

That's awesome. I'm truly delighted for you. That program was the one I was most joyous in pondering my fit there. I may apply again. I hope someone sees this post and reaches out. If you scroll back, you can find the people who were waitlisted. Might be worth reaching out to them to see if they've received a final decision.

Would it be ok with you if I sent you a DM? I'd love to hear about your interview experience because I think that's the area I fell short. Just a hunch.
