But I’m ok with it because I just started a new job and I see a lot of new opportunities there:) I’m not sure if I’ll try this again. Hi! I wrote to them this week and got the answer that they didn't receive an official selection decision yet:( However, I have a strong feeling that there will be nothing for me this year. Wish you luck and hope that the end of the waiting is near ?

Hey guys! I still have "Preselection made" status ? Hasn't changed since February. 5th April I wrote to them and got the answer, that the final group has not been reviewed yet. So for creative Masters it is still in the process.

You're absolutely amazing! Congratulations and wooow! If DAAD could reject an outstanding person like you, then I totally get why my application was rejected last year ? It would be hard to compete with such extraordinary people. Thank you for sharing your story! It's strange, but I feel better now, knowing I am not THAT (stunningly) cool, so it will be OK to get rejected again:)

Last year it was in June... kind of scared to wait that long again ? also, my status is still "preselection made", so there must be one more step before a final decision comes. Hey! The status "Selection made" is good, but unfortunately, it doesn't mean that you will be necessarily accepted. It is just a step. I had this status last year and after it, I was rejected ? Good luck though!

Oh, I totally understand! It is a hard task indeed. I hope it will go well with your application! ? As I believe "Preselection made" only means that they have all necessary documents to proceed, so it is only a question of time for you to get there too. I feel like it would be better to have a Plan B. So I planned a special vacation at the end of April, just in case I will need a place to moan and cry after rejection without my job disturbing it ?

Hi guys, just want to share that my status changed to "Preselection made". The process is slowly going:) Also, it's important to remember that our lives are much more than any scholarship. Winning or not winning, it does not define us as persons and professionals. I'm trying to keep it in mind every time I check the status, because last year I was completely devastated after receiving a rejection letter, and I don't want to feel the same again. Even if they reject me this year too.

I believe the deadline was 1 December. I applied 28 November. Hello, thanks! Yeah, in my rejection letter was some information. They told they had only 50 scholarships to be given, and the number of applicants was round 600. I suppose those numbers were only for Postgraduate Studies in the Fields of Fine Art, Film, Design/Visual Communication.

Hi guys! I've applied for Visual Arts/Design and (of course) already send my portfolio. Now my status is "paper copies received". I guess there will be no news before April or May:) This is my second try with DAAD and I hope this year it will go well ?

My status changed to "Application rejected" so that's the official end for this year. It was Master, Design/Film/Art Scholarship. I'll try it next year again and I hope they don't judge applicants for previous applications ? Hope your results will be better:) Wish you luck!

Sorry to hear that! I've also got an informal message about rejection, so we are in the same boat now waiting for official letter ? I've applied for Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal (Campus Magdeburg in my case). The deadline was 31 May. Design studies always have entrance exams and interviews, which usually take place in July. If your target program doesn't have any, I think it's OK to wait longer.

It's really crossing all lines. How more time they need to tell us these results? I can't believe I didn't make it before I see the official rejection letter ? Also, yesterday I received an invitation for the entrance exam from the university. It's funny, but somehow the university was able to select candidates for one week (!). Just one week of waiting! Compare it to the months we're waiting for DAAD... I hope this agony will end soon guys!

Thank you! I'm sure you did a great job! The plan is nice, a part-time job can really help. I know some people who did it that way. I would definitely do it too, but now I don't have enough money to get the german student's visa. So maybe I'll postpone my studies and simply save up more. Thanks for your support! ?

Thank you. I won't give up just like that:) though it really hurts, this scholarship was my goal for two years and I even learned German to be a better candidate ? Let's wait for the official response and I hope someone here will get the grant!

I've got some news! Yesterday I wrote a message and asked, how soon the results will be announced. Ms Hermanns answered, that official results will come, but she "has heard" I will not be awarded a grant. So, no hope for me anymore :( Now I can wait only for my rejection letter, but you all still have a chance and it won't take long!

Hey guys! I'm from Moscow, applied for the art scholarship (master). No news. Last change was in February when my status turned to "Preselection made" and in March I submitted my portfolio. I'm not sure if I can wait any longer... I was absolutely alone with my anxiety before I found this topic. It's helpful to know that we all in the same situation. Wish you luck!!
