  1. McMaster's website says that after 3 years with Candidate Status, full Accreditation is granted. So 3 years from 2019 is 2022 so maybe they will be fully accredited by the end of 2022? Has anyone emailed McMaster about this? Also thank you for posting this, I didn't realize they were pending full accreditation. From their website: In accordance with guidelines from the Council for Accreditation of Canadian University Programs in Speech-Language Pathology (CACUP), the program will complete a two-stage process for accreditation. The first phase, completed in the first two years of operation, is the application for Candidate Status. The second phase, completed after 3 years with Candidate Status, is full Accreditation. On April 16, 2019, the program's application for Candidate Status was granted. Students graduating from a Candidate program are entitled to register to practice in Ontario. As required by CACUP, within three years, the program will apply for Accreditation.
  2. Hey, for those accepting offers to McMaster I created a Facebook group for us ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/1127460201364602 ). I have never made a FB group before so hopefully this works haha Edit: If Facebook doesn't work for everyone we could make a group chat on discord or some other platform instead
  3. Those accepting their offer to McMasters, did you want to make a group to prepare/get to know each other? CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who applied, it takes a lot of strength to go through such a mentally draining process.
  4. Hey, I am still waiting but I am assuming that I have been rejected because people have posted about getting waitlisted and accepted already.
  5. Sorry if this was already asked, but has anyone emailed McMaster to see if we can jot down talking points/ideas during our reading time? Also, does anyone know if the Kira Talent platform has spell check for the written sections? Thanks!
  6. Hey, this sounds like a great idea! I am interested if you still need another person.
  7. This is my first time applying, so I am just looking for some clarification about references. I understand that for the University of Alberta and McGill University my referees are contacted by the school and my referees then send the schools the letters they wrote. However, I am a bit confused for the process for University of Toronto, Western University and McMaster University. For these schools is it a form they fill out (aka they don’t write a letter)? Also, since UofT waived the clinical reference requirement for the 2022 cycle, do we only need 2 academic reference letters?
