  1. Does anyone know anything about the UCSF or the NIH-UCL programs? Having trouble finding information about them. I mostly want to know A) quality of research since it seems the fits are good and B ) if the students like being there and have good prospects after. Thanks!
  2. I think the GPP programs are one of the latest to send out invites (i.e. not yet)
  3. What do we think folks, another batch this week (Stanford, MIT, NIH-GPP, etc.)?
  4. slower day than I thought it would be
  5. I think one batch since the interviews are the first week of January
  6. I think UCLA came out like 5 min ago
  7. Got an interview from UMich PIBS at noon today and one from UC San Francisco at 3:20. San Francisco is crazy early: you schedule what time you want to interview and the recruitment weekend is the first weekend in February
  8. Today is only the first of many days! I believe
  9. Congrats Princeton people! Enjoy beginning to prep And so it begins...
  10. I'm surprised too! I think it will heat up as time goes on (as I'm over here checking every hour on the hour since)
  11. Thanks! Ya, I expect Friday to be a busy-ish day around admissions offices. My parents are both professors (non-stem) and for years I have been used to the last push before Christmas to get new hires/ graduate interview emails sent off before the holidays. Of course some years they ran out of time and then things come back two weeks later (week of Christmas off, one more week to finish up). Good luck everyone!
  12. Congrats! That's amazing news, UW is a great program. No word on if the interview invites are sent out in batches right?
  13. Sorry for the triple post, ? but I looked at previous grad cafe stuff for the schools I applied to and figured it would help for people with overlap: Harvard: December 18th-20th UC San Francisco: December 18th-20th UC Berkeley: December 18th-20th University of Washington: December 18th-22nd University of Michigan (PIBS): December 20th-22nd MIT: December 17th-27th Columbia: December 22nd UCLA: December 19th - January 8th GPP: December 20th-January 12th UC San Diego: December 23rd - January 3rd Stanford: Week of January 3rd Keep in mind I did all these ~fast and loose~ so they could be a bit off. P.S. the 18th-22nd usually aligns with the last day of the week before Christmas (soooo I speculate this friday ?)

  15. Hey everyone! A bit late to finding this thread. I've been working in neuroscience labs since I was 18 and now I'm 25. Pretty stressed just waiting with no "official" date when interview decisions will be released, especially since this is 6 years in the making. Also, if I would have found this thread sooner I definitely would have applied to a safety (applied to 11 of the top 20 schools pretty much by accident). I wish everyone the best, and I know whatever happens is what is supposed to happen!
