Any updates? I saw one person posted an acceptance on the admissions results thread, but I haven't heard/seen anything else.
Same with Loyola Chicago PhD...anyone heard anything?
i haven’t heard anything from mizzou. i know they said they expected to send offers the first week of february so i’m hoping we should get more information any day now

just received an interview invite from NC State. their interviews are the last week of february which seems kinda late to me considering other programs are already sending offers of admission. is anyone else feeling this way?

is it fine to decline an interview if you know 100% you wouldn’t go to that program? i recently got offers from my top ones and it feels insincere to go to an interview i have on thursday. i also don’t want to waste the faculty’s time or potentially put an applicant on their waitlist if they offer me a spot
if you’ve already RSVP’ed i’d go. if they give you an offer of admission and you know you don’t want to go, you can always decline the offer. but if they are expecting you i wouldn’t decline the interview this close to the interview date

Has anyone heard anything about offers from Mizzou?

Congrats on interviewing with your top choice! Honestly, it's hard to tell if a decent or even great interview will lead to acceptance. Unless you completely bombed the interview, and unless they tell you an answer immediately after, there really is no way to know. I was accepted to a program after an interview where I thought I performed decently but not great. It also all depends on how everyone else did. Good luck!
thank you for this! ? i definitely appreciate the support. wish you all the best as well!!

anyone have any advice on signs that an interview went well? I had a one-on-one today with my top choice POI. They were very very kind and sincere, but the interview itself was the most structured I’ve had so far which made it a little hard to read ?

Is anyone interviewing at University of Oregon today? If yes, could you explain what happened during the Group Q&A and interview section of the day? My interview is tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous
I interviewed at UO today and it was honestly an amazing experience! I was a little nervous as well but everyone was so incredibly kind. The group Q&A was definitely more laid back than I expected; the grad students just let us ask them questions more so than them interviewing us. I’d say just come prepared with plenty of questions to ask! You’ll do great! ?

Does anyone know of schools that have already reached out with final decisions?
I received an admissions offer from Michigan State directly from my POI via email. They said an official admissions letter from the program would be coming soon, so I'm not sure how other POIs at MSU might be going about notifying applicants of final decisions!

Anyone heard from University of Missouri (Mizzou)? They sent out an email this morning stating:
I would like to provide you an update on our graduate admission process. Initial reviews of applications have been completed by faculty members and committees. Our faculty members have been contacting selected applicants via phone or email for virtual or on-campus interviews. Unfortunately, due to the number of applications received, not all applicants will have a formal interview.
We anticipate that admission offers will be made in the first week of February. Admission offers will include information on financial support, including a stipend and tuition waiver.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide status updates on individual applications. However, I am available to assist with general questions about our program.
Is this basically a rejection? I did not get an invite to interview.
I interviewed at Mizzou last week at the formal interview day, but I have not received this email

I received a second interview invitation to U of Montana for the official interview day! I had a preliminary interview in December.

I also received the in-person MSU invite and am feeling a little stressed about it. I also had an invite from Temple that included an in-person option and they just decided yesterday to conduct everything virtually. I’m wondering if MSU might change over to doing things virtually depending on how things are progressing.
I’m wondering the same. I guess we will play it by ear and see how things go!

Have you guys received any invites for in-person interviews and how are we feeling about that? I've received one in-person invite at Michigan State but I am feeling a little uneasy with the current COVID situation. Do you guys think in-person interviews will stay in-person considering how quickly omicron is spreading now/will spread after the holidays? ?
