    One Berkeley acceptance on GradCafe with GRE scores being 143 and 157. I know they aren't asking for GRE any more but could this be fake?

    I guess that's a factor yes. I am a re-applicant and my GRE scores from last year was automatically attached to my application for this year and I had no way of removing it. Unfortunately stuck with some average test scores

    I feel every other Soc department is moving faster this year while Berkeley is taking longer... such an agonising wait

    After Chicago rejected me for their PhD in Sociology, they just emailed with an offer to their MA in Social Sciences with a scholarship of 20, 000 USD. Really not sure how to feel about this

    Just a question for those with more insight: if I don't hear from Princeton today (seeing as people have posted acceptances) does this mean a no from Princeton then? Have they released decisions over a few days or just all at once?

    Thanks for the info. This makes sense. In previous years the Soc track seemed to release decisions earlier than sociology and social policy, but I guess this year has witnessed too many changes...

    The two acceptances seem very weird. First an interview from Harvard, and then a Zoom call with offer. I really dont understand what's happening

    The Harvard interview on the results page is giving me chills. Can someone confirm this?

    I did, to their Women's and Gender Studies PhD, but haven't heard back. Their website does state that decisions will be released by 15 Feb though

    Thanks for the info! I wonder if what you describe affects how offers got sent out, e.g. if they are being slowly released instead of coming out in batches? Obviously UC Berkeley has released results but the results page have only had four or five people reporting, so don't know if it is rejection for me or if they are still in the process.

    Can anyone confirm the Berkeley acceptance on the results page? This is getting real. The only thing I find confusing is if they have had prior contact with the faculty member who emailed about the acceptance, or if anyone admitted would get such a similar email?

    Not sure how many more rejections I have to endure before getting a real offer. But it's Feb already I am expecting to be overwhelmed by results in the coming days. Best of the wishes to you too!

    Same. Kind of knew it was coming when I didn't get an offer yesterday. But anyway good luck to the both of us with the rest of applications!

    Does Wisconsin Madison release results in batches? Or if I didn't get an offer yesterday, does this mean I am basically looking at a rejection?

    I haven't got the interview invite from U Chicago and hope that they send them out over a few days and not all in one day?

    Sorry I wasnt being clear. I meant that judging by previous years (which they have of course proved no definitive guideline for this year), no single invites were sent out after Feb, but then yes they don't have to this year... only makes things so much more unbearable

Though I guess they do have to send out invites before the end of this month which means probably this week. Let's wait and see.

    Has there seriously been no interview invites from U Chicago or have I just been considered unworthy for an interview? The lack of movement is driving me mad

    According to the results page from previous years, interview invites tend to be sent out over a few days, so it takes time. Good luck with getting interview invites!
