It's a massive program so it's probably not worth stressing about at this moment in time. It could take a little while to roll out.

I got what seemed like a very standard "We haven't forgotten about you" email from them on 1/7. "Hello and good day! We send our Happy New Year 2022 greetings to you! For 2022, we wish for you to have a very successful year where you achieve many of your aspirations and goals. As the pandemic continues, we know you are being challenged as we all are. But we also know that you are strong and courageous, and you will prevail! We hope for you to remain healthy and safe. We wish for you a year with much joy and happiness, and much love. Thank you for submitting your application for consideration to our PhD program in EECS at MIT. The graduate admissions committee is working hard reviewing the many applications that we received. We know you have many choices available to you as you consider where to attend graduate school. We are honored that you considered EECS at MIT as a possibility. MIT (app deadline was 12/15 and it's a huge program, so they may not interview everyone they want to admit. EECS dept calendar has "Grad Admissions Round Up" scheduled for 1/18-1/24).
