    Quick question: Is it considered rude or imprudent to email programs and ask about the expected timeline for decisions?

    This waiting period has been really hard for me and I'm genuinely starting to lose my mind here. I've been getting angry whenever I check my email because none of them are from any schools. Based on the results page, none of the programs I applied to will start notifying anyone until March. Y'all I am SQUIRMING

    A lot of other people from the PNW here, huh! I live a bit south of Seattle. I don't get out much though--I've never been to Bellingham. But I've heard only good things!

    Western Washington was the application I just turned in. I also applied to Brown, University of Utah (their PhD program), University of Colorado Boulder, and University of Washington Bothell. Aside from Brown and Utah, there's a fair bit riding on how much funding I can get from each place. Another little layer of hell lol

    Officially done with all my applications! Figures the school at the bottom of my list would have the most tedious application process and the highest application fee. Now to wait!

    Damn imagine just how boring the literary world would be if everyone understood their high school English teacher's SAT prep lessons as the objective and absolute rules for writing anything

    lol I was just about to hit submit on my final application, but turns out the application fee is a whopping $100. Guess I'm waiting until payday for this one!

    I'm struggling so much with FAFSA right now too! I legally changed my name early last year and the IRS knows this, but for some reason it's created an error in their system so I can't access my tax information to complete my FAFSA. Been trying for weeks to figure it out. Gotta love bureaucracy, right?

    Hello all! First time applicant here. I'm nearly done with all my applications (two more to throw together this weekend), and I'm not quite sure I'm mentally prepared to just sit around for the next few months agonizing over what direction my life will go in. Thought it might be nice to commiserate! Also, I found out this morning I've been exposed to covid, so uh... looks like I might have some free time on my (germ-infested) hands
