  1. I was admitted to and have accepted an offer from Vanderbilt Health Policy. For posterity's sake, here are my results and their dates: Wisconsin Population Health Sciences PhD: Acceptance, January 5. Johns Hopkins University Health Policy and Management PhD: Waitlist, February 9. Michigan Health Services Organization and Policy PhD: Rejection, February 9. Vanderbilt Health Policy PhD: Acceptance, February 21. UNC Health Policy and Management PhD: No response.
  2. Just received a rejection email from Michigan's Health Services Organization and Policy program. oh well!
  3. I just checked the applicant portal this morning and there was a letter posted, informing me of the waitlist status. I never interviewed with anyone at JHU.
  4. Waitlisted at Hopkins. Just checked the portal. No email yet.
  5. Also curious to know. I never received an interview for JHU. Guess that means I'll be getting a rejection soon... Oh well!
  6. Received acceptance to Wisconsin-Madison last week. So excited! No word from other programs (UNC, JHU, Michigan, Vanderbilt) yet.
  7. I imagine the answer to this question is very field-specific. In economics, BA-to-PhD traditionally was not uncommon. But it is trending away from this as undergrads increasingly work as research assistants for a few years before grad school. In health policy where I'm at, it would be extremely rare. Definitely something to have a sit-down conversation with some of your professors about.
  8. Howdy folks, Figured I'd join the forum. I also applied to health policy programs. I targeted schools where I could concentrate in health economics. Waiting for a responses back from JHU, Wisconsin, Michigan, UNC, and Vanderbilt. Nervous with anticipation! A buddy of mine who applied to a similar set of schools last year said he received responses between late February and late March.
