    Hello everyone! Yesterday, I received the decision letter from BU Romance Studies department. I got in! I’m very excited! I am going to take the offer (I’m waitlisted in other programs but no guarantee there). If you are still waiting, don’t despair, good news are coming. @MillerS congratulations on the new acceptances!     @caromella thank you for your support! I understand you. It’s very disappointing when you get an email from the office of admissions or an alert to check the portal; it’s feel like they don’t appreciate our effort and energy. I don’t expect a personalized email, but one kind (no generic and impersonal) response.

    @caromella I’m sorry to hear that. @MillerS Congratulations! Surely, you will be an excellent addition to the program. I still waiting for the decision. Maybe it’s a good sign, maybe it isn’t. I will let you know as soon as I receive any update. I have a question for you two: Did you received an email from the department or an alert to check the portal?

    @caromella Thank you for sharing that information. I hope they contact us soon. I really could use some good news (or stop waiting for news). A friend of UPenn told me that some schools are taking more time than usual because many departments are trying to restore their number of scholarships (as they had before the pandemic), perhaps that’s the case. Hope you get into BU!

    I’m waitlisted in Harvard’s RLL, the best result of the season. Still waiting notices from Boston University, Brown University and Princeton University. I’m pretty sure that Princeton is going to reject me, because they didn’t offer me an interview. 4r/1w/0a/3p Hope it goes better for you. Probably I will see you in the next application cycle.     I received a kind email from Cornell chair. I didn't get it. It was a tough year financially.

    No updates from Cornell... If everything happened as supposed, Cornell's faculty had a meeting today to make final decisions—almost that tell me the chair. He also said they wouldn't make us wait for the decisions for so long.

    I had my interview with Cornell faculty. They ask me about my research (previous and intended), wich courses I'm interested in, and what I think about living in a small town as Ithaca for 5 years—the average time to complete the program. @caromella I asked about the decision and other interviews offers. They said that the decision will be ready by next week or by the February 7 week, but no longer. I know that in past years they accepted students based only in their application materials, so I think that you have a chance even if they don't interview you. Best wishes for you. Finally, after I read the Northwestern update post, I checked my application portal. The decision of Northwestern was ready, I didn't get it. I didn't receive an interview invitation, so, I believe that the result wasn't a big surprise. I have hope in my other options. My best wishes for all!

    Thank you GSHopeful1. For the people asking about Cornell, they mailed me an interview request on January 20. I have my interview tomorrow. I am going to ask if they are thinking in offer more interviews and when they are planning to communicatre their decisions. I will reach out as soon as I can. Good look to everyone.
