    nice! I also had my interview with MICA this week, but for the multidisciplinary arts program. Did you friend who got an interview request with VCU apply to the painting and printmaking program?

    I just had my interview with MICA (Mount Royal) this morning! It was stressful!! Haha and only 15 minutes long. My interviewer got right down to business and asked why I want to go to grad school and asked some clarifying questions about my artist statement. I wonder how long it will take to hear back and haven't heard anything from my other programs: University of Montana Colorado State UCI Cal State SF VCU

    I saw that too! So I'm definitely glad I got my application in before the initial deadline! I'll be sure to post their response!

    I just saw on VCU's website that they conduct interviews in February, but also got an email a few weeks ago that they extended the application deadline from Jan 15th to Feb 1st. So, I emailed them today asking if the application deadline extension would have any effect on interviews/admission timelines really just as a sneaky way to hear back from them on something ? Now I'm worried they're going to think I'm annoying for emailing them lol

    Just got an interview request from MICA!! I am shocked because of the whole thing with SFSU but I'm thrilled! Congrats to everyone getting Yale interview requests!

    That's a good idea, thank you! I did reach out to the graduate office via email as they instructed so we will see where it goes from there ?

    (I'm a transfer student at my university and don't have a ton of credits which is why one failed class has dragged my GPA down so much)

    Just got a notification from Cal State SF "Your GPA does not meet the minimum university admission requirement. Please contact the Division of Graduate Studies." My GPA is a 2.95 and I still have 15 credits to complete before I graduate. I have all A's and B's but failed one anthropology class two semesters ago ?‍♂️. I was hoping I was close enough to the 3.0 requirement that they'd be willing to consider me on the condition my GPA is higher by the time I graduate in May of this year, but I've pretty much lost all hope of acceptance to any programs at this point ??.

    Hi everyone! It's been so great reading your posts, I feel very validated in my obsessive email and application status checking ? I am in my last semester of undergrad, studying Art History with no studio art credits at all (I know, ?) but have been maintaining my own practice and building my portfolio over the last couple years. I applied to the following MFA programs: Colorado State - Art UC Irvine - Art MICA - Mount Royal School of Art (Multidisciplinary MFA) VCU - Painting and Printmaking U of Montana - Art Cal State SF - Art So far I've only received "your materials have been sent for review" type of emails but I'm encouraged by the fact that I haven't seen other people on here applying to these programs saying they've gotten acceptance/rejection emails or interview invites.
