  1. Thanks! I have accepted Minnesota, and removed myself from waitlists and acceptance offers
  2. Accepted to University of Oklahoma, PhD. a: Oklahoma, Minnesota, Nebraska w: Boston U, Michigan State, Kansas, Cincinnati, Utah r: Penn, Oregon, Georgetown, UCSD, Wisconsin p: Texas A&M
  3. Hello all. I currently work as a grad coordinator in ecology and evolutionary biology, obviously not in the humanities, however, we also admit double the available spaces. For this cycle we had 10 spots and offered 21 acceptances. We haven't gone into our waitlist in the past few years. I should say that our program is top-10 rated at an elite university. I do however, communicate often with coordinators at my university in other programs (including humanities) who utilize the same admissions approach.
  4. Congrats! You've had a good run.
  5. Heya, it was Minnesota. I was offered admission and have accepted. I had Penn, Wisconsin, and UCSD highly ranked as well.
  6. Heya congrats! I removed myself from the waitlist at Cincinnati this week. It's a really good program. I have a friend there who seems to be enjoying themself. Sending you good vibes that it all comes together. Cheers!
  7. Also, I just declined my waitlist position at Boston University. Good luck everyone!
  8. Hopefully this creates some movement for someone here, I have declined my waitlist offers from University of Kansas, and the University of Cincinnati. At Cincinnati I was on a waitlist of 5, so maybe that opens up something for someone. Take care all!
  9. That's a great question. I noticed on the spreadsheet that Cincinnati had already sent out both acceptances and waitlist notifications. So I figures I was getting a rejection notice. Perhaps they are a bit more sporadic with communicating acceptances, waitlists, and rejections, and there are still more to come.
  10. Notified this morning that I am on a waitlist of 5 applicants at the University of Cincinnati. A: Minnesota, Nebraska (declined offer) W: Michigan State, Kansas, Boston University, Cincinnati R: Oregon, Wisconsin P: 6
  11. I want all of you to know that I feel your rejection pain. Not only have I been rejected myself, but I also have had the unpleasant experience of sending out rejection letters (we don't actually call them those, they are called 'not admitted') as a grad coordinator in EEB. It's really sucks extra to see everyone limp through this process while also having participated myself in someone else's rejection pain. Stay strong everyone, good news is on the way!
  12. I don't know if this helps anyone (hopefully it does) however, I declined my offer to Nebraska-Lincoln today. If you're on the waitlist, I hope this does something for you. Cheers all.
  13. quite a few programs are still pending results. Also, there are some who have hidden waitlists, so there's that as well. Hang in there.
  14. I support all of this. I am in a unique position where I work in graduate admissions in an ecology and evolutionary biology department and at the same time am applying to philosophy phd programs myself. Much of what rhizomatic has stated is in fact how these admissions decisions play out. Also, I am available to chat more in the event anyone wants more insight into how these processes work. They may vary from philosophy, but might be useful to some.
  15. add Kansas to the 'waitlist' column
