  1. Wow!!! Congratulations!! I hope they send out more over the next few days. Just anxiously waiting here ?
  2. Also, in case anyone else was waiting on Columbia, it appears someone on Reddit contacted the administrator and was told all interview invites have been sent out. Update- the user on Reddit actually contacted the administrator about a different program (not the Neurobiology program), though I am not expecting much at this point anyway haha
  3. By the way, does anyone know if Stanford is expected to send out interview invites this week or next week? I've heard that in previous years they sent out phone calls first?
  4. Does anyone know what programs tend to send interview invites in early-mid January? The waiting game can be rough and I think it would be nice to have some information!
  5. Hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but just wondering if anyone here applied to the Harvard-MIT HST program? I’m pretty sure interview invites (or rejections…) come out in January and just wanted to see if others applied!
  6. I was wondering if anyone has any idea if Columbia is done sending interview invites (or if they tend to send them out over multiple days?). I applied with an interest in the Human Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience track (not sure what tracks other people applied to) and haven't heard back. I'm thinking of just letting go of any possibility of hearing back at this point ?
  7. Just wondering, has anyone else applied to Caltech’s Neurobiology program (and heard back)? Also, I got my first interview invite and I feel so relieved ?
  8. From what I know, the committee still comes together to make final decisions about applicants, but if you have spoken to a professor and they see your interests/potential align with their research, then they can vouch for you and advocate for you during these discussions, which is very helpful. Also, I have been told this is somewhat similar to how psychology PhD admissions work (where it's usually a mentorship model rather than a rotation model). The BCS program is a rotation model program, but it still helps to have a professor vouch for you so you know you have a potential placement in at least one lab.
  9. Have interview invites been sent out for UCLA already? I haven't seen anyone post about UCLA but ah well :')
  10. Hi everyone! I'm in my last year of undergrad and feeling super nervous. I didn't decide until just earlier this year that I wanted to apply to graduate school, and I'm anxious because I feel like so many people have prepared for this for years so all I can do is hope for the best at this point! I've applied to the following schools, and I'm happy to share any updates I receive (and would also be grateful to hear if anyone has received updates as well): Caltech (Neurobiology) Columbia Harvard-MIT HST (Neuroimaging Track) NYU Stanford UCLA UCSD USC Best of luck to everyone (and also good luck on finals!).
