I received an email from a school that waitlisted me. It was from the school's financial aid dept to grad students about changes for qualifying for loans based on enrollment and that the fin aid dept hopes it does not affect my fall enrollment. I have to email the school to check to see if my waitlist status somehow changed or was the email sent to all applicants. I've never received any emails from the fin aid dept before so now my imagination is running wild lol. Has this happened to anyone else?

My ideal career is helping people. Going to school for an MSW is exactly how I want to do it.

I did not do a lot during my years in undergrad and I had to explain why in my essays. I did a lot of campus activities, campus organization leadership positions, etc. I did research with a professor and had good LORs. Even with a double degree I had to really sell the fact that I had a good understanding of what social work would require of me and how my credentials set me apart from the other applicants. During my year off from school, I am actually getting into volunteering now that I have the time.

-An email notification of how the admissions process was going would be great. I was checking my email and mailbox more than a sane person should since March 1st! When I finally caved in and emailed a school this week, it just happened to be the same day they mailed out my acceptance letter lol.

I wish schools would let applicants know where they stand on a ranked list so we wouldn't be anxious until school starts in August/September.

I'm shopping for clothing once the summer months arrive. Dress pants, blouses and the like. I am excited to get started!

Hey all! I too was just waitlisted at my top school this week. I'm hoping since they usually let in about 100 students for their masters program that enough will turn down the school and I'll be able to get in for Fall.

Hi everyone! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is trying to get an early start this cycle. I am applying to the following programs for Fall 2013 : -NCSU -FSU -WashU -UNC-C I'm hoping to get all of my apps in by the end of the month. Then comes the waiting game lol

Thank goodness for this thread. I'm a double major and I'm applying next fall for master's programs and my overall GPA will be just under a 3.0. I keep reading I'll need a 3.5 but it is nice to know as long as my grades show a constant improvement, and do well on my GRE, I'll have a good shot.
