    Just recieved an offer to Laurier's 2 year MSW :') I am so shocked, especially after being waitlisted at UofT for social work, and rejected from UofT and McMaster's psychotherapy programs. They're clearly still sending acceptances this week, best of luck to everyone ❤️

    Also got rejected to OISE Med counselling! I've seen a whole bunch of people with rejections- I think we were all emailed at the same time!

    Hello! Lol sorry for stalking last years admissions but I'm looking for anyone currently enrolled in the Laurier 2 year full time program to give me some insight about cohort sizes (how many people were accepted), and what the class make-up looks like in terms of experience levels! I'm a 2024 applicant currently stressed and waiting to hear back lol! Thanks so much

    Yes definitely! All three of us have heard back now, my friend got their acceptance on Friday. I have an. 11.9/12 GPA (I guess thats a 3.9 or 4ish on a 4 point scale?), and around 3500 hours of paid experience, and less than 1000 hours of unpaid experience. Most of my experience comes from music therapy placements, being a personal care worker for an older adult with dementia, volunteering with a crisis text line, and working with children with autism. I applied right after undergrad and didn't take any time for extra work experience in between. I figured this would mean I wouldn't get in to anything I applied to so I was very grateful to be accepted to Luther! Have you heard back yet?

    Domestic applicants and we are all current Laurier students! I spoke to an academic advisor for the program and she said they were hoping to finish up notifying people of decisions soon but didn’t give me a date

    The email will have been sent to you by SGS Admissions back when you applied under the subject “Important: Your UofT JoinID”. There are instructions there for activating ACORN!

    Yes! I think most people have heard about their acceptances in past years a few days before the "official" update comes out since an unofficial "invitation" gets posted on ACORN

    Has anyone here also applied to psychotherapy/ counselling programs? I applied to UofT’s MEd in Counselling Psychotherapy and Martin Luther University College’s psychotherapy program as well as a bunch of MSWs, anyone in a similar boat? I was accepted into the Luther program but haven’t heard anything from UofT yet

    I heard of one person (through discord I think) who was rejected, but that's the only person I've heard of not getting waitlisted!

    Someone stated they had emailed admissions and had heard that we'd all be hearing by 5pm today through the admissions portal but I still haven't seen anything anywhere....
