  1. Congrats to you too! Good luck with everything
  2. Just got accepted into uOttawa for clinical psych! I think it was an unofficial email though, they said the formal offers will go out in a couple of days so I expect any acceptances/waitlist to go out at the same time.
  3. Completed my bilingualism interview for uOttawa today so its safe to say that they are almost at the end of solidifying their acceptances
  4. Last year I wasn't accepted anywhere and felt lost because I hadn't planned for a world where I wouldn't have a program to attend in the fall. Honestly, I realize now that I would not have been completely satisfied with my potential advisor even if I had been accepted. I also got a super cool job and gained lots of clinical experience in the past year, did/doing some part-time school, and I can truly say the rejection last year was for the best. I have had an awesome post-undergrad year. Doing school part-time was helpful because it has kept me connected with my goals, the break from being a full-time student is nice too. My thesis advisor tells me it takes the average medical student 3 tries to be accepted, and that's only for those who are accepted. For clinical psych it takes who knows how many more (we've all seen the statistics). He tells me that as long as I want it and as long as I have thick skin, to just apply apply apply and if your CV is competitive you will make it eventually. All that is to say, I feel you. The rejection sucks but it's just the first of a potentially long journey. Don't lose hope.
  5. I haven't heard anything either I know uOttawa tends to send their acceptance and waitlist at the same time and if I recall, my friend was waitlisted last year mid/late Feb? So I assume it will be similar this year
  6. Forgot to share that I met with my first choice PI this Monday for uOttawa. For anyone wondering - last year I was notified that I was waitlisted on Feb 22 I think so I imagine it will be similar this year, responses will likely go out late Feb.
  7. Hello! I was trying to find a forum for Clinical Psychology programs in Canada but couldn't find one so I made one. This year I applied to clinical psych at -uOttawa -TMU -Queen's Last year for uOttawa I was invited to an interview with my PI early Feb and was waitlisted late Feb. I assume it will be similar this year.
  8. Congrats on the interview! I just to counselling MEd at uottawa, didn't know they did interviews. Is that a normal thing? I also applied to the non-thesis stream. Would that have anything to do with interviews?
  9. Forgot to say I was waitlisted for uOttawa a few days ago in the English stream... Does anyone know what the odds are of getting off the waitlist? I feel so defeated, but I am thinking I should just take it as a rejection.
  10. My friend was waitlisted a week or so ago, so I think they already sent out acceptances/waitlist
  11. Had an interview with UNB last week for clinical psych but just got rejected a few days ago (so depressed trying not to lose hope lol. i was so close) haven't heard from uOttawa or Lakehead yet
