  1. Do you take art history classes in your BFA program? If so, can you take more? It's possible to switch fields for graduate school, but you'd need to demonstrate familiarity with art history methodology (for example, the University of Toronto's art history program allows anyone to apply, regardless of their undergraduate degree, but requires that you have taken at least 5 art history classes). You'd also need to take courses that require lengthy writing and research papers. Work experience like an internship at an art museum or gallery would also be very helpful for your application.
  2. To the best of my knowledge, all UCSB decisions have been sent out--their website has a page with all the data for acceptances for their 2024 cycle. https://www.graddiv.ucsb.edu/ucsb-graduate-statistics
  3. Hi! Has anyone heard anything from Toronto's Art History PhD? Their website says they start rolling out decisions in March, so I'm not crazy worried, but sometimes they've released in February. Also unsure if they do interviews? If anyone has any info, or is just in the same boat, I'd love to know!!! Thnx!!!!
  4. I can't say if they do a formal rejection email, but I will say it was only today that I got my "official" portal update acceptance letter and financial aid award, even though I was notified in late January. There could def be a waitlist / rounds??? Good luck!!!
  5. Applied to HAVC at UCSC and still waiting to hear back. Super nervous as I think it might be my top choice, but I haven't heard anything from them since I applied in November. I was accepted at UCSB, but for Comp. Lit
