I don't think they're done. Might depend on your genre though. There are only 6 responses in the sheet so far, most of them fiction. One poetry (baffling). I just checked my status in the portal and it still says in review.

The singular poetry waitlist from UNLV on 3/4 is going to drive me insane. what do you mean there's no other poetry results yet. what does it mean.

I'll be 30 in two months, on MFA application cycle # 6, and I just got my first funded waitlist this year. (Unfunded acceptance a few years ago.) There's no limit to what you can accomplish if you're pigheaded enough to keep trying! Re: Voice, speaking entirely for myself here, but I personally don't feel like I had anything worth saying as a writer until after 25. The ability to string together a beautiful sentence is one thing, the ability to say something substantial is another. IMO your chances get better the older you are and the more time you've both practiced your craft and experienced life.

Would also like to know this for poetry; currently standing at one rejection, one waitlist, and one still pending (UNLV). STRESS. Edit to add: Stalking last year's results only tells me that they're running late. Looks like Draft has responses starting in mid-Feb from them last year.

I am sure this has been answered 5,000 times before. But! I just got a waitlist notification from IU! Losing my mind a little bit, since this is my first positive signal in six years of applications. What are the odds of getting off a waitlist? Help me gauge how excited to be lmao.

Does anyone know when to expect results from UNLV? I assume they'll have later results since they took applications until January 15th, which seems pretty late.

And there it is! 5th Michener rejection. Does anyone know what the timeline for UT's NWP notifications is? Since Michener notifies around the same time each year, assume NWP has a cadence as well.

Staring at the UT portal, eyelid twitching as Draft results roll in. 5th year applying to Michener, still in review. (Poetry) Last year mine was stuck in "In Review" until mid-April and I had to email them for an update. Praying for a swifter axe this year at least. Dumb question: If they call you and you don't answer, will they leave a message or follow up with an email?
