Bummed that I didn’t even get an invite even though I visited campus and talked extensively with professors and admin. But I’m also very surprised that this is their format. 10 minutes is nothing. Echoing Foehn, has anyone else heard from University of Colorado? Haven’t heard from VCU either, not officially. Or Tyler?

Apart from the interview requests already mentioned, the only other activity I’ve seen personally is a bunch of hits on my website from different IPs in upstate NY, RI, MI, WI areas and around the west coast. Since Jan 15/16 deadlines just passed, I imagine we’ll be hearing more chatter end of the month. I had a couple requests for phone calls from department heads in December, but I also submitted my applications early.

Yeah, though I believe the Knights-Henessy deadline was pretty early. A lot of state schools will have an earlier deadline for fellowships, but relatively unusual for private schools. UMass Amherst also had a Dec 1 deadline (for fellowship reasons), and they already made offers prior to XMas. Oh well.

Bizarre that their deadline was so early but reviews wouldn’t even begin till a month and a half later. What’s the point of that?

Congrats on finishing your applications. If you look at the forum this was posted in, it’s for the visual arts. Not sure if this forum will offer you much help since our admissions processes and departments are quite different!

are you applying to studio art MFAs as well? Creating two different kinds of portfolios, that must be quite a task!

Just online! Also, I just counted the offered interview slots, and it was 13 total. Though, it may be limited to the “area” I’m in (3D + 4D). So hopefully you’ll hear back from the 2D folks soon?

Yes, I submitted my applications in December. From the Doodle poll I received for booking interview time slots, there were quite a few already taken - so I’m not sure what that means.

Got an offer (full funding + stipend) from UMass Amherst before XMas. Interviews happened mid December. Received interview request from UW Madison today - interviews on Jan 23.
