Received an official offer from Cranbrook print media, but I only have 14 days to make a decision. I'm still waiting for responses from GoldSmiths and NYU. About NYU, if anyone else is waiting, they told me this week is still interview week. Results will be released over the next few weeks, and their spring break begins on the 16th.

Here's an update on my results for reference—though it might not be very helpful. I'm really unhappy with these results. I might try again for another year or just give up altogether. Has anyone heard back from Columbia, Cornell, or Penn? I called Penn two weeks ago, and they said all the interview invitations had been sent out. Should I just give up entirely😭

Updated this week: Accepted to SVA MFA Illustration as Visual Essay, rejected by Uni of Oxford. I don't want to go to art school—I applied to three purely for fun, and all three accepted/in the final round. I want to go a large research university.

Hello! I also applied to Oxford. I'm international but earned my bachelor's degree in the US. I've heard some people have already received interview invitations, but I haven't gotten anything too!

I'm still clinging to a last-ditch hope, has anyone applied to Uni of Oxford? I submitted mine on the deadline day jan 5 and haven't heard anything yet. I heard an international (non-US) applicant got an interview invitation on February 3rd. My friend applied for art history and hasn't heard back either. Do they just dislike US applicants? lol

I don't recall, but it might be r/ContemporaryArt? And it was in early February—that seems unreasonable to me. The deadline was Jan 15th; could results really come out that early? That person didn't specify which of their programs it was, just mentioned MFA. This is the efficiency of Ivy League institutions, which is why they can maintain their authority. I've tried calling them over the past few days, but they never picked up.

Cornell, what's going on?! Should we just give up on it? 😭 I've only seen one person on Reddit get an interview invite, everyone else says they haven't heard anything. No marketing emails either.

Yeah,i can imagine, you have to admit its location is perfect for rich kids to test drive their Lamborghinis. I'm in LA too, and their local reputation relies too heavily on Disney animations and the art school's historical legacy. I've also got Goldsmiths, University of London—same story. They're a worse version of CalArts. Historically run by Marxists, now dominated by rich international students. I'm desperate. I have nowhere to go now.

I didn't receive any things from research universities. Only an interview invitation from the CalArts. After talking to several industry insiders, they say it has a “reputation,” but it's not worth it—tuition costs rival Ivy League schools. The location is terrible, deep in the mountains. Unless you get into program like animation, I should probably give up on it. I don't even want to go to the interview.

I applied Columbia printmaking, haven't heard back anything. I checked the applicant portal and there were no updates too. I think I should just give up—this isn't the only school that hasn't responded.

Did you get any response from NYU? I called them, and the person who answered said she didn't know—probably a student worker. I just received an email from them about a financial aid meeting.

I called Upenn, and they said all interview invitations were sent out last week. I'm totally screwed. I might apply again at the end of the year. Hope everyone else gets the results they want!
