  1. D.C., New York, or New England... but really D.C. I want to work in federal policy, so it points to one location. I've lived in the Midwest my entire life, so it will be nice to experience a change. I would like to live abroad for a year or two as well.
  2. I sure hope so! I finally received an admission email on Saturday from Georgetown. Keeping my fingers crossed for a "second round." Congrats on your scholarship, policy_applicant!
  3. I finally received my official GW letter yesterday (email admit was on February 5), so it's coming. It may be a good sign? I was named an alternate for a fellowship. Maybe if you're still waiting it's a good thing?...
  4. I hope that means I'll hear sometime soon! I think my application completed January 30 (grr to my recommender who kept putting it off!)
  5. True... hopefully its all on a rolling basis. My application didn't go in until January. Good luck to you! This whole process is causing me to go melodramatic. lol.
  6. Aww man this thread was a dagger to my heart. I haven't even received a response from GPPI at all - much less this scholarship email.
  7. Causey, I'm not sure. This is the only one I've heard about. I've not actually received anything in the mail. They called me and then the rest has been email communication.
  8. It seems that some of these schools give very little time between notifying and the April 15 decision date. It's a bit frustrating because I would like to visit once I know... but if I only have a couple weeks to make plans, get time off work, buy plane tickets, etc, I'm not sure I'll be able to afford that.
  9. PS... Is anyone going to Providence for Brown's admitted students day this weekend?
  10. I was admitted and offered a scholarship. Looking at what the tuition costs, the scholarship is a bit less than half tuition.
  11. Ugh... Uggs, leggings, and jean skirts.
  12. Uh oh... linden pretty soon policy_applicant will be accusing you of riling people up. You and I seem to be the cause of accidental anxiety lol.
  13. My letter from Maryland came in the mail on February 14 (I think it was dated about Feb 10...). If I remember correctly, it came in the mail about a week or so after the website said a decision had been made.
  14. LOL. I better watch myself. Although I must admit I'm one of the ones obsessively checking my email.
  15. I'm in the same boat. It says a decision was made but I'm not able to link to any letter.
  16. I'm in on that one. haha. Expecting that R.
  17. Man... I opened a can of worms didn't I??
  18. Nooo lol. It was just the confirmation that they had received and processed the application.
  19. Thanks policy_applicant. I sure hope so! I like the way you think. lol
  20. Aww boo. I'm sorry. Their mistake!
  21. Lol. I looked at it but I don't know much about CIPA. They've sent me brochures... looks like a neat program. But, I'm just looking at programs myself. Didn't apply because it's important to me to be near or in a city.
  22. I hear you. I get myself worried too. Overanalyzing every thing I hear and read. It will be nice when this is all said and done. Maybe this year Friday the 13th is lucky!
  23. No reason to be worried - now I can't even find the email where I read it. Maybe I saw that on their website? I only received their confirmation emails. I know I read March 13 though. lol. Sorry to worry you!
  24. Harvard and Princeton had fairly similar essays. Each asked for a personal statement and for a "policy memo" or to evaluate a policy issue. Additionally, Harvard asked for an essay about an experience where you exhibited leadership.
  25. YIKES! March 13 could be a very good or very bad day because that is the day the Princeton WWS is notifying students (at least according to their emails to applicants).
