I'm not sure how it all works, but I was accepted to the KU social program. From what I gathered, they invited a larger group of students to visit than they usually accept. Put differently, say 10 people were accepted, some wouldn't accept the offer while others wouldn't get funding, ultimately creating an incoming class of about 2-4. SO, being on the waitlist is better than nothing, but the probability of all 10 not accepting the offer is rather low.. Not to be a downer! I was in this exact position last year.

Anyone want to claim the UC Davis Phd Social Psyc acceptance? Who was your POI? Congrats!!

The Social Psychology FSU post was from me. According to the email, they only invite 1-2 people for each faculty member (ah! craziness!) and the recruitment weekend is Feb 23 - 26. PM me if you want to know the POI.

Following the Notification thread can be a little tiresome given that many posts are not about Social psychology. Anyone hear news from UCSB? UC Davis?

At SPSP I had a meeting with my POI from UMASS. It was mentioned that they would start really looking at applications after their return from SPSP. Unless that was inaccurate, it looks like we still have some waiting to do! You mentioned FSU, may I ask who your POI is?
