Haha but the bad thing is if it will be 6 yrs:\ (length of phd/med school). I am crossing my fingers then for some good admits;p

I'm applying to phd programs now and my SO(of four years) will be applying to med schools a year after. This means we will be in in LDR for at least one year. What makes me rly nervous is how hard it is to get into med school and I'm afraid she may not get in anywhere close (she's applying to mstp programs). It's like applying to grad school twice - first I hv to worry abt me getting in and then her:P

But what if she did not commit the crime? You have no way of knowing. All you can say is that the person told you she committed a crime, not that she did it. Schools may think you are just trying to eliminate competition:p I am not against calling - but what I meant is that calling a school and saying "she forged her recs" without explanation is bad:P

It would be funny if the girl did in fact receive recs from profs and told you she wrote it just to play on you lol One should never trust what people say;p It is really hard to believe she would do it and then told you so. I think you should not jump into conclusions and should not accuse her of forgery (as your topic is titled) - this should be decided by authorities. Calling schools and telling them she forged recs is a bad way - if it happens she just joked then you may be in trouble. You did not see her forge the letter - all you know is what she told you and she may as well be making it up (no idea why would she do so, stress maybe?). Nevertheless, there is a probability she did forge it so you could talk to authorities (be it chairman or someone else) and tell that person there is a possibility of forgery and then explain what happened and let them decide if it's just a joke she played on you:P Just be sure to word it carefully. And don't get me wrong - I am 100% against people who cheat but I also am careful in interpreting stuff;p

I see. I know computer vision is part of EE:Systems but there is also a prof doing research in cv/robotics in CSE department (where I applied - my top choice:D) so that's why I asked. I guess it is next week then when they send decisions.

to octav1an ! when did you hear from UMich? Did you apply to EE:Systems or CSE?
