Hmm.. i was wondering,,, Does anyone think, making a group on facebook or google or yahoo would be a good idea for getting to know new entrants to our respective schools and fellow Bostonians?

Hi all, this thread has been super informative... spent a few hours reading this and now I almost remember the names of most of the places and transit sobriquets. Is anyone on the lookout for roommates and plan to live off campus? We could just see compatibilities (PM me :wink: ) The MIT on campus housing registration deadline is 15th May, so need to make up my mind on whether to stay on-campus or go off campus. Add to that, I can only come to Boston right before the semester starts, not a few days earlier Anyway, thanks to all the members for the wonderful posts and best of luck to other new international students like me in finding good housing... :| :wink:

I also did have a few dreams before getting an admit. One of them was about trying to get my application delivered to the hands of the adcom personally (like a greek warrior).... from all the way on the other side of the world. Needless to say, I encountered all the cliche environments (oceans and pyramids for example).... and finally, I think I was interrupted by a knock on my room.... it was time for the classes... :wink:
