  1. I got my waitlist yesterday in the mail too. I think it's because they're waiting to hear back from a fellowship I applied for. We'll see if things change...Otherwise, it's SAIS probably!
  2. I haven't heard anything from Georgetown either...PhD or Masters. It's a little odd, because I'm assuming a rejection, but people are getting their rejections now...I guess just more waiting? There's only a few more weeks before I have to accept somewhere.
  3. I'm in the same boat. I interviewed on Monday, and I haven't received an e-mail or call either about the change. Not sure what to make of that...
  4. Yeah, gunna take the no e-mail to be a bad sign. That blows.
  5. I'm attending UGA undergrad now, and I know a good bit about the MPA program (and know people in it now) if you want just general advice on that, or on Athens in general. It's substantially cheaper in Athens, but I wouldn't give up being in DC. But UGA's MPA program is pretty good, so maybe it's worth it??
  6. I am in the same boat. I wonder why at Bologna and not just in DC?
  7. I got in too! Wow! Wasn't expecting that at all! But I got into Bologna...I'm a little confused...hmm...but at least it's an acceptance!
  8. Speak of the devil...I have my Rangel interview tomorrow, actually. Preparing for it now. I can't help much on the Pickering though, as I didn't apply for that. Sorry. :[
  9. Awesome. Thanks. That week is either going to be AWESOME or completely blow. hahaha!
  10. So SAIS and Georgetown acceptances will be out next week? Just acceptances, or the whole shebang (rejections and waitlists)? I have a major interview for a fellowship next week, and I should know by the end of the week whether or not I got it...so maybe they'll hold off until I can let them know if I got it. heh.
  11. Well now I feel bad...I won't be turning 22 until July. Heh. But I'm incredibly focused, so that could be it... Also waiting on Georgetown and UVA too.
  12. Yeah, same here. I guess they did acceptances, then rejections, then consolations Masters. What do you think/have you heard (or anyone) about the CIR? It still seems ridiculously expensive and I only got 2/3 tuition covered...which is still great, but I'd still need about $40,000...
  13. I haven't heard anything either. But I e-mailed a lady (whose name I forgot) and she said that if I don't hear anything by this week to e-mail her back on Monday. So hopefully we'll be hearing something soon... In other news, got my first non-reject! Just waitlisted. But it's better than a rejection!
  14. Right after I posted that, I remembered the acceptances from Valentine's Day. Well, then, hurry up with the official rejection, Chicago!
  15. Does Chicago do rejections before acceptances? I'm just surprised I haven't heard anything yet...I'm still waiting on a couple others...I wish they would just send official rejections. It would be happy to just be done with this and KNOW. -sigh-
  16. Me three. On the online application it says we'll receive it by e-mail in the first two weeks of March, so let's hope for something this week. Then again, acceptances will probably not come by e-mail since no one else actually follow their protocol.
  17. But do you think the first wave is done? I mean, can't really go to Georgetown without funding...
  18. I saw someone post on the board about Georgetown being done? Is that true? How did the acceptances above here back? I'm not holding my breath at this point with how many rejections I've gotten, but there's still that little flurry (oh, it's tiny) of hope.
  19. Particularly the "thanks for your money" part...
  20. I always thought it was going to be harder to get into Masters. But after 3 (possibly 6) rejections from PhD programs and watching the forums, I'm going to go with it is much harder to get into PhD programs. However, the harder part still is funding. I think it may be easier to get into a Masters than PhD, but it's harder to get funding from Masters.
  21. There was one from Harvard someone posted that said "We are unable to take favorable action" or something like that. That was just HARSH. Eek.
  22. Well, MIT rejection just sent. Pretty nice form letter, and I thought it was a stretch but they were my top choice. I'm 6/7 for rejects, I think right now, since I haven't heard anything from Virginia, Washington, or Chicago. That means Georgetown is the only one left... But I just got a fully-funded Fellowship to China, so -shrug- There's always next year if needed!
  23. Seriously? That quickly? I did not expect that either. Do you think they'll send out funding information in that too, or send it later since the financial aid stuff was due later??
