I go to UT for my undergrad. Should I just go in to ask the Program Coordinator at this point? What do you guys think?
-
I am completely confused at this point. I hand in the towel and give up the art of deciphering signs.

CUNY Acceptances

Lemonade, don't worry. You didn't take away hope; the admissions process is a mystery to me, and one sign can seem to mean many things. I really I hope I will be joining all of you who have been accepted so far. quote name='Lemonade' timestamp='1298565878' post='204032'] I'm sorry; I didn't mean to take away hope! Best of luck and keep us posted on how it goes. -
CUNY Acceptances

Thank you, Sean. I am at least hopeful now. I can't always help trying to calculate probabilities. -
I have a feeling things have changed a little bit. Someone said in an earlier post that only 1/20 had been recommended for admission. I wish it were as it was in 2009, though.

No email for me either

Supposed to be reading Chinese drama under the Mongols and writing about how a sexual allegory is softened by the creation of a spiritual realm and the use of birds/inanimate objects as metaphors for body parts. Also, getting absolutely nothing done.

I am not afraid to own up to my own insanity. I'd get off this website if I could; I do actually have another life.
-
My last name starts with a "K." Anyone with a "K" last name or after K already receive an e-mail?
-
Augustquail, I am sorry about your rejection. Don't lose hope. Can you tell me, though, what concentration you applied for? quote name='augustquail' timestamp='1298496815' post='203273'] Crap! I just got the rejection email. This sucks. I'm starting to lose hope!!!!!
-
I am sorry about your rejection. I hope you have gotten in or do get in somewhere that is a good fit for you. Could you tell us what the e-mail said? Did it look like a form e-mail, and did it seem like it just went to applicants in the digital literacies program? Also, at what time did you receive the e-mail?
-
Well, I ended up becoming impatient and called the department. Decisions will not be out for a couple weeks--beginning of March.
-
I agree with you. If applicants decline the paid visit by the end of this week, then the committee will offer the paid visit to others on Monday, Feb. 28 (the decision date according to an e-mail the Graduate Coordinator sent to me). This makes some sense to me, so I am just going to stop waiting and expect to hear one way or the other on Monday.
-
Maybe they need a quick response because they are trying to estimate how many applicants to wait-list.
-
That does help, only that my application status page is NOT updated. I have checked several times today. But congratulations on getting in!

Looks like we really will not be hearing until March sometime. I e-mailed the Program Coordinator, and she confirmed this yet again. (I have already asked her this question once, I believe.) -
Just to make sure.... You mean from BU, not from UT, right? Still no word, no e-mail.
-
Any news yet you guys? I have not heard anything still.
-
Jeez. But I do like the illusion of hope.
-
Okay--that is good news. You, being on the inside, can certainly guess better than me. So, I will set this aside for the night (unless anyone makes any important discoveries) and hope that you are right.
-
I'd like to know, too. But unfortunately, I don't think anyone knows.
-
But I am glad you didn't get rejected.
-
...which means we have to wait more.
-
Dear all, Last week I e-mailed the Education department and asked why I had not heard back yet and if I missed an e-mail. The response was that final admissions decisions are pending. That was the beginning of last week and still no news. Has anyone else heard back--rejections, wait-lists, acceptances? I applied to the MAT in English Secondary education.

Wait, were you the one who posted on the results page then? Please say no.
