Interesting, how come some applicants said their status did change from recommended to reviewed? Thanks for the info! I guess, I will stop checking the status, the shock will be easier to contain if I do not get it, which is most likely, last year around 1200 applied for it and only around 40 got it, so ...

Ahhhh still waiting and checking many times daily ... i really need to get it!!! Wish my status will change to Reviewed though .. do not lose hope, you never know ... Yea, i guess they get interviewed .. and they post one paragraph or two about them with their photo online .. April 15 is soon .. count down .. wish you the best of luck ..

Jordan is good but not in Amman the capital where people hardly speak Arabic or know Arabic. Go to Irbid. The second biggest city. The university is Yarmouk University. It has a great program through Virginia U. and another one cheaper you can read about through the MESA website; around $ 4100 for ticket, classes and apartment which will go higher next year because it is simply too cheap!! Syria is the best though. They know Arabic well. Good luck.

on campus they can work in any field .. like in the library or cafeteria ..

research assistant ... pays like 15 an hour .. taxed .. and should not exceed 10 hours a week i guess .. ONLY in Summer and breaks!! Not too bad!

i think you can do that .. but it wont cover all the room and board fees .. you need another source of funding ..
