  1. In my opinion you might want to retake the gre. Going into a literature program one would be expected to have a higher verbal and writing score but you never know. Also the new gre is based less on vocabulary definition and more on comprehension which you may be better at.
  2. i did not apply there but am a huge fan of the SEC
  3. Sounds like you have a good chance of admittance. However, I've heard stories of people getting recommended by the department and the graduate school later sending out a rejection.
  4. For pharmaceutical programs i applied to UNC and UGA the rest were for biomed sciences
  5. hey phd pharm, where all did you apply?
  6. Checked the mail and saw an acceptance with full funding....ended up buying a 30 pack of keith stone to celebrate
  7. I've been accepted to UGA and am most likely attending. Anyone have recommendations on places to live that allow pets?
  8. I understand that the graduate program messed up however I think its all water under the bridge. There is no way they will admit to misplacing the application because of the potential lawsuits. If this program is your only option perhaps you could contact the director of the graduate admissions and ask to be admitted as a "no award" student. This would give you zero funding but if they actually want you as a student they will accept you that way. Granted you will have to pay for you're own tuition/stipend there are many fellowships/grants you can apply for that will cover those costs. What program are you trying to get into?
  9. I have a feeling you won't get the application fee back. I have spoken with two of the directors where I interviewed and they noted that even though there were many qualified, even over qualified applicants, they could not accept everyone due to funding. Perhaps the best option would be to contact your connection in admission and see if they can provide any insight into your situation.
  10. I'm under the impression that no interview means rejection unless you're an international student.
  11. I got a very promising email from one of the graduate programs I applied to and that the graduate school would be notifying me early the following week of their decision, It has been nearly 2 weeks since I should have been notified. Should I email the director back or wait it out?
