Personally I'm really excited, probably because I haven't made such a far drive before, Sacramento to st louis, and plus I love driving. I've moved so many times growing up that packing is something im used to, though I really wont have much to bring. Plus I've been looking into getting a gps as I have a habit of missing turns a lot.
I also probably won't visit the city before moving, but have been checking out a number of different housing options. I'm hoping for something less than 500 as I probably won't be home much and because of that looking for a place to share has also been something I've considered. Biggest thing for me right now is that I don't know when I'm going to head over as I'm currently with my parents and my dad might have a new job cross country as soon as next month, so I might just move at that point, otherwise I'd stay home till augustish.
I applied to 8 schools, though regretted applying to 2 of them like 2 weeks after sending all my paperwork in and those 2 of course were 2 of the 3 I was denied at. Ended up with 3 acceptances and 2 wait-lists.
I was originally going to apply to like 10 or 11, and my dad suggested something like 15. Probably would have just applied to 6 schools if I could do it again, but since my undergrad was in something different than what I was applying for, I wanted to be absolutely sure that I would get into atleast 1 school.
Finally got the no from UW and UT, been waitlisted at Cincinnati, and am still waiting for financial package from WashU, so I really can't make a decision there until I find out how much WashU is going to cost me. I'm definitely going to be leaning towards WashU if the money is good, but in the end I may just go with Oregon.
Same, just over $1000, since it was for architecture I had to include a portfolio, which was about $200 for printing out 8 copies for 8 schools, if I could have done it over again I would have saved myself the $150 I spent on applying to Yale, regretted it a week after applying
Yah, last week sucked, got 3 responses the first week of March and nothing this past week, must have checked my email a million times. There have to be a few responses next week, otherwise I might go insane, so far for me,
Accepted: Michigan, WUSTL
Rejected: Yale, expected it
Waiting: VT, Cincinnati, UT, UW, UO
Got nothing from Michigan so no way I can I go and have to wait till later in the month to find out if I get any assistance from WUSTL.
