  1. I've been without a job for a few years. I applied to another opportunity to teach and was rejected by that. AmeriCorps did not yield anything either. So, I have a very serious reason to wonder what I am doing wrong and why I cannot have opportunities to do something amazing. I'm starting to wonder if it would be helpful if I obtained another degree, or is that not useful for applying to programs such as AmeriCorps, Fulbright, Teach for America, etc?
  2. That's a great idea and all, but I don't really have a back up plan, so I'll be sitting around anyway wondering what I did wrong, reapplying and waiting for another year...
  3. Is it possible that I will never get off the alternate list? Who else is still waiting?
  4. The notification dates for Indonesia on the spreadsheet do not look correct. Did something happen? Does anyone know anyone else who is an alternate for Indonesia that is not listed?
  5. Ok, I give in. How can I access the spreadsheet?
  6. Can someone tell me if there are any additional entries for Indonesia ETA on the spreadsheet? Last time I looked, there were 5 accepted, 1 rejected, 3 alternates then accepted and 1 alternate (me).
  7. Do you have to make a Google account?
  8. What happened to the spreadsheet? I can't see it. It shows the "Google Log In" page again.
  9. I wonder what the factors are then. I just thought that they would have had a list of people already ordered so they don't have to send alternate applications back to the countries to have them looked at again when a principal candidate declines an award. I thought the countries decided who is selected? When you are taken off of the alternate list does your program manager email you or is it someone else? I really hope there aren't like 20 or 30 alternates for Indonesia. There are 35 awards. Certainly they don't expect that most of the principal candidates would decline?
  10. Does anyone know of any more alternates for Indonesia?
  11. Why does the header information keep getting moved?
  12. Did the spreadsheet get messed up yet again? This morning for one of the Indonesia ETA's it said "alternate, then accepted" and now it says "rejected." The headers have been moved again too.
  13. The people in the spreadsheet who are listed as "alternate, then accepted" were accepted because someone else declined, right? More funding hasn't become available yet, correct?
  14. Are any of the three Indonesia ETA's that got off of the alternate list on the board? I am so anxious to find out if I will get off the list. Bluedevil, I hope I can join the group you created soon!
  15. Is the spreadsheet down?
  16. I wish I could join. Maybe soon!
  17. There is an easier way to fix the font sizes and colors in the spreadsheet right? My hand can't take anymore of fixing individual rows.
  18. I'm so worried about what will happen to those of us who are alternates.
  19. I don't think people will lose their jobs, but they just won't be going to work. So, perhaps the processing of paperwork will be slower than normal. I'm wondering how all of this will affect alternates. What if Fulbright does not get any additional money?
  20. Did you win? Is your information in the spreadsheet?
  21. Now the font size and color are messed up for a lot of the entries.
  22. Why does alternate status have to be so frustrating?
  23. Is some of the "Accepted" information incorrect? There are at least three people listed as accepted but no information on dates. Of course, someone could be messing with the spreadsheet again.
  24. Why does the spreadsheet have the header information in the middle and at the bottom of it and not the top?
  25. Another alternate for Indonesia in the spreadsheet! Are you on the board?
