Robusto - Do you know if BU is doing interviews for their DBA yet?

On Friday, I was emailed a rejection from 1 of 3 schools to which I applied.... with one down, two to go, I am not feeling sooooo great. I was already flipping out that I didn't apply to more places (couldn't spend the money and be far from where I live for other reasons...) Of the two schools I have left, 1 is a total 50/50 chance... well, maybe 30/70(not in my favor) and the 2nd is maybe a possibility but who knows! :shock: Anyone else starting to weight options about re-applying to places next year? Or even wonder if they want to apply to schools again at all! :roll: :cry: :|

Just got my first decision - from WUSTL - Rejecteddddddddddddddd ? 1 down - 2 more to wait on....

I just got rejected from WUSTL's PhD program... 1 rejection, 2 programs I am still waiting on... I am not exactly reacting yet - perhaps the shock of finally hearing back and getting rejected... but I feel a long freak out on the way...

As much as we know checking our email 10 times an hour doesn't help, I can't find a way to NOT obsess about it. I am a mess of excitement, nervousness, and just anxiety and want to know!!!! Nobody from the programs I applied to have heard yet. A lot of us could be waiting a fewwww more weeks . . . I can't imagine all this anticipation building up anymore!

I only applied to 3 schools for my Phd and each had either a Jan5th or Feb1st deadline, so I am not expecting to hear so soon. On a lot of other sites which I obsessively read, I keep reading people getting rejections/interviews/etc from other schools! During the application process, the director of one program let me know how they present the short lists and make their decisions so I would know a bit about the process. I am just dying to know! My gut tells me I am on the shortlist, but who knows! When I was doing my Masters, I remember getting emails at really different times from Universities regarding interviews and waitlists, etc. . . ugh At least we are all in the same boat and eager to just know!!!! I keep checking the BC site for changes in status since none of my other schools have an online status. Surely the fact a lot of you haven't been just told NO is a good thing! It means you haven't been ruled out at least! (at least from what you know... and for sanity sake, that could be better... hope?)

A month ago, I would have said my backup plan was be to stay at my job, try adjunct teaching, and work on re-applying. . . I have my MBA and am applying to PhD
