  1. Thanks for the reply! Maybe they will give acceptances to those who interviewed 3/10 sometime next week.
  2. Just wondering, when and how did you get your acceptance? I interviewed there earlier this week and I expected to be informed pretty soon given that it was their last week. Congratulations! MIT is a great place with great people. Best of luck with your decision.
  3. I did two summers of research at MIT and just interviewed with them and I can tell you that they have an amazing and proactive community there. Not only the graduate students but also the faculty and related departments. If I get into MIT it will be a tough decision for me to choose between Stanford and MIT. Best of luck!
  4. Princeton finally decided to reject me, haha. On better news I got an acceptance from Baylor IMBS!
  5. Admitted for a PhD in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biology. Will most likely be attending this fall unless my last interviews convince me otherwise.
  6. Accepted to Stanford Biology!! Received a call from one of my POI! My top choice, I am so happy!
  7. Accepted to University of Wisconsin - Madison CMB!!!! So happy!
  8. Anyone else going to Stanford tomorrow?
  9. You are at MIT right! How is it? I will be going in two weeks. I spent two summers there so let me know if you have questions regarding faculty, I've had the opportunity to meet with quite a few of them. Good luck!
  10. Just got home from my UW-Madison CMB interview and I can't express how much I enjoyed my weekend there. The program and faculty were great, Madison seemed like a nice place to live at and the graduate students seemed to have a really close community!
  11. Anyone going to Wisconsin - Madison CMB tomorrow?
  12. Did anyone go to the first UW-Madison CMB interview weekend? I have mine next week and I'd like to know how it felt in general.
  13. Did anyone interview this weekend at MIT Biology? I am interviewing there in a few weeks and I'd like to know how it went/felt like.
  14. Feb 6-8 or March 3-4.
  15. Just got an interview invite from UTSW Division of Basic Sciences! I am in shock to be honest.
  16. For people who applied to Princeton Molecular Biology: I just called their student services manager and I was told that they are sending interview invites in a rolling basis and will continue to do so for the next week and a half!
  17. I submitted their form on Monday and have not heard anything since then.
  18. Officially rejected from Rockefeller, would not have been able to make it to the interview anyways.
  19. Well, seems like I got nothing but silence from Rockefeller and probably won't be hearing anything more from any other programs. Super happy with my 4 interviews, they are all great places! Now I only have to prepare and enjoy the following month of traveling
  20. A few more hours until we find out from Rockefeller!
  21. Anyone else nervous to be hearing from Rockefeller tomorrow?
  22. Continuing the topic of GRE subject tests (future tip for anyone reading this who is applying this fall) I would not worry too much about it or programs that ask for it. I have met people who have done terribly on the subject test and still got into programs that encouraged it (Stanford, MIT, JHU, etc...) and others who did not take it and still got into these programs. My PI even told me once "Who takes and asks for subject tests anyways?! I've never seen someone score above a 90 percentile!".
  23. MIT Interview!!!! Totally thought that I was rejected.
  24. I know they are sending those who got interviews and were notified via e-mail a snail mail packet with more information on the interview and those who did not get interviews rejections via snail mail.
  25. JHU BCMB rejections, honestly did not like the idea of going there after meeting two graduate students and a professors from there.
